6.5prc bullet of choice in 20” barrel
I’d try a Barnes 127 LRX. I also recall someone saying that match burners actually had pretty good terminal performance too. 140gr Nosler partition and accubond are always a good option. I’ve heard good things about the Hornady CX as well. -
Loading 30-30 in general & Lehigh controlled chaos?

Experience with Hodgdon Superformance? 30-06?
I run 168ttsx in my 3006 with 4064 and I’m a bit over 2800fps with a medium-high charge. The 165ttsx is made for the 300wm. It has a shorter profile and it also has a higher minimum impact velocity of 1800fps vs the 168ttsx at 1500fps. -

Cases trimmed too small
That’s fine. I have made some short necked 350 Norma Mag and 338 Win Mag when using 300 WM and 7remmag brass respectively. Both shot fine, great actually. I think the uniformity is important. Question as to inconsistent OAL on loads
Variables I didn’t see addressed yet: Tumbling wet or dry? Are the cases themselves consistent lengths? Dry lube inside neck? Neck chamfered? Seating stem clean? -

Resizing question?
If you missed resizing, your bullet would just fall into the case unless your doing body and neck in separate steps. Try and find out what it’s hanging up on and that will lead you to what you need to adjust.
