Just kidding. I missed out on that rifle twice. Think I will just use the Rokslide classifieds as my screen saver so I wont miss any more.

I assume you already have a safe full Kimber7man. I guess at least 7. Will you now have to change your name to Kimber8man?

    Death Hike in Southeast?

Man I am really hoping we can get to it soon. I started training last March and never had a cool kike. It was hot and so humid I had to carry a towel just to get the sweat out of my eyes.

    Recommendations for 2nd Career

I think there really are no jobs that would meet all of your conditions. 1 and 2 can be done together. 3 is more difficult but 4 is the breaker. Jobs that meet the first 3 conditions tend to carry significant responsibility. Somewhere up the line there will be someone with a deadline or a...

Took another hour in the morning to finish. We only covered 2500 feet but we climbed 2800. We slept with our legs hanging...

It is too light for an overnight. My packs weigh 8 and 9 pounds each so by the time I pack the minimum and water I will be approaching 40.

    My First Mountain Buck

Yours is a great mountain buck. I think until you have spent some time hunting in the mountains you can not understand this. The deer are few but they do congregate so you have to find them. They fight for limited food with bear and hogs so they never really get big. Deer in the mountains often...

The rut is different throughout the state. In the county where I shot the deer the rut peaks the first week in November. This was a very strong second rut.

Thank you, and yes it is brutal. It is different from the Rockies. It is not as high and in some cases not as steep. However everything is in an advanced state of decay and every step is battle in, around, over, and under blow down. I have never hunted so hard i my life.

I am trying to adjust to that. My VC first western hunt was for bear this last spring in idaho. For me this is wide open and my concern is scope or no scope. This is in real time.
