McMillian Stocks : Called CS about a custom order for a Game Warden stock. Asked a TON of questions over a few different phone calls. I'm pretty sure the same guy answered the calls each time. Bought a % off certificate. Ordered the stocks. McMIllan CS verified the order. Less than 60 days...
In AL?? Just hit up the County Clerk, or as above use the county GIS. I've learned more about property through a county GIS than the people selling it. After talking to a planning department about property, easement, ROW questions I had the county lady ask me if I wanted a job. o_O
Weston #22 user here. Thing takes longer to clean up then to use for the grinding work. Wife said she's not buying store packaged hamburger ever again.
Weston #22 user here. My initial decision was based around using it to prep chicken/lamb for dog food. I watched plenty of people feed in half-frozen/frozen chicken into this size which didn't slow down this grinder. We use it for any other meat prep for ourselves at this point. This thing...
FNG is a non-discriminatory label. The time limit for which it is to be applied is governed by local policies. Talk to your local representative for more details.
1) How much access do you want to your cash without a "penalty"?
2) Do you need any cash on hand "just in case" something happens sooner than expected?
I'm no expert but I have been in a situation in the recent years where I had to learn about CD's. I'd just make sure there's no "lock-in"...
I've been pretty happy with all kinds of 6.5CM ammo I've purchased. From the top tier to some brands people will dismiss on name alone. Your rifle will tell you what to shoot, just listen.
I ran across a CA (not sure of model) at the LGS the other day. Chambered in 30-06 the rifle looked nice so I decided to pick it up. HOLY COW....talk about light. It felt just a tad heavier than my old .22LR wood stock rifle. I almost went to the get the paperwork started to take it home.
I bought a used R700 w/24" Proof Carbon barrel that was built by LRI from another member.
I bought a new Seekins Havak PH2 w/24" fluted barrel from an FFL.
Pricing wasn't too far apart for either considering the costs of the LRI work to the receiver/barrel.
Both rifles are dressed with Leupold...
People sell the panels all the time. Either Craigslist or FB Marketplace. It's not hard to wire in/setup at all to be honest. I dipped my toes into solar on a small scale to learn how it all works. You can either buy it all in a package or build it. Building your own allows you to...
There's options to build your R700 LH to your liking, there's aftermarket actions, and there's all the same for the Tikka. $$$$ rules all.
I will say if you could handle the modded R700 (albeit RH)I have you might want to spend the $$$ sending one to the smith.
Insulation: How thick are you wanting to go?
Comforts: Are you going simple or need a little glam?
Power: Solar systems are pretty easy to put together, but can take up space. Costs can be kept low. (I got some used old panels that still have great output.) Learn a little bit, saves you...
I've been using the Ballistic-X app as shown above. Very nice way to keep note of things. The final shot details/label can get busy with all the info. I'd suggest giving it a try and select the data that you want to see the most.
I can't see any real reason to make changes day-to-day...
If you are chasing weight why spend $3k, when you can spend $1800 for the same weight? I know you might want some features not offered between BRAND W and BRAND X.
If you are worried about a horrible gunsmith then you best ask those questions. Not to mention the wait time.
Good luck.
Diesel:
Drop anything on the hitch, drive it, and enjoy a worry free drive. Yea...diesel fuel isn't cheap right now.
You got to have a pretty heavy load or in varied terrain to get into single digit MPGs.
Gasser:
Drops mileage faster the more weight you put on the hitch. Yea...gas is...
While I'm not shooting 30-06 I'm in the same boat. Since the rig was new all around I need to zero the scope as well. I ended up shooting my normal ammunition for about 7 rounds to zero the scope then finished with about 20 rounds total. I stopped there, got it cleaned up at home, so I'm...
