Finally ponied up for some 10x42 Els from cabelas. First question I ordered new and they sent me a display model, does anyone think this is weird and should I ask them for a discount or some credit back or something? The binos appear to be fine but I don’t consider a display model brand new...
That’s what I was wondering about the recoil of 6.5cm vs the others in that light gun. Think I might get the backcountry ti in 6.5 cm and the 280 ai might make more sense in something like the mark v hunter.
Want to get a lightweight rifle and looking at the Mark V backcountry 2.0 Ti. Anybody else on here got one? .308 Win or 6.5 Creedmoor? I have a 30-06 and 300 win mag I could use for elk. This will be for mainly for deer and potentially elk although I hear 6.5 is a little light for elk. 500 yards...
If you just wanted the head might look at camera land and you can get some legs and the head for $161 after code. https://cameralandny.com/shop/brands/sirui/sirui-t-004s-aluminum-tripod-with-va-5-ultra-compact-video-head/b5a95210-4c51-0138-838f-00163e90e196?variation=2153393
There’s a viper in the classifieds for $450 I’d recommend over those. I just sold my older model Diamondback non HD 20-60x80. Clarity def went down significantly as you increased the magnification. Maybe newer model is better. I agree with others though grab a nice pair of binos before a spotter.
I’ve read a bunch of older post and I think I’d like to try the sirui va-5 head. What legs are you guys running with it? Would the T-024SK be steady enough with the 95? Starting out with just he Btx and 65 but eventually I’ll add the 95mm. Any other suggestions for head and legs? Currently I’ve...
Gonna try incorporating glassing a lot more for my LE rifle Utah Wasatch elk hunt trying to locate a good bull. I’ve hunted spike elk my whole life but usually I’ve got a spot in mind that I hike to before light and just sit and wait. Every year I always see at least two big bulls and a bunch of...
When I was about 5 I was hiking with my dad down the trail back to the jeep, a big dog like a German shepherd or husky walked out into the trail, my dad used his scope instead of binoculars to look at it. About a minute later a bunch of people on horses rounded the curve, we walked quietly up to...
