The velocity range is only important because it is a huge factor in making sure there is enough energy to allow the bullet to perform. At some point, it is irresponsible to hunt game with bullets that are very small going at marginal speed. The animals are precious and should not be wasted... -

How did the 6.5 Creedmoor lose steam so quickly?
IMO - it is taking a lot of sales from 308 on the high end and 243 on the low end as the standard deer rifle for non-Western deer hunters. They are stupid easy to shoot well and will kill a deer effectively. -

Changing main hunting rifle, what to do?
If you are going to go to a 6mm of some kind, it would be cheaper to buy a new Tikka than to have it rebarrel. Can the current barrel be threaded for a brake or a can? I use a can exclusively and it really tames the recoil. -

Dead Air E Brake
I have a Nomad and removed the KeyMo system because it serves no purpose on a hunting rifle vs a direct thread mount. With a direct thread mount, I get a lighter setup. I have no experience with the E-brake b/c the Nomad knocks down recoil to good levels on my 270 and 280AI. They are babies...
