I know your question is a little old now and it looks like you bought one, but I do have a ton of data on this, I tried to get numbers with factory ammo in each configuration of ARC I had. In a 12" AR I built, factory 105s were 2298, 108s were 2271. In my first Howa Mini cut to 16" the 105s...
Have you looked at the 105 Cavity Back Bullet? I'm loading the CBB in my 6arc, and its very promising. The 105 6.5 was basically designed for better terminal performance while hunting with short 6.5 Grendels. I think 6arc has a better range of weights for hunting than Grendel, but with the...
There is a guy on the hide cutting them down and converting to 8.6blk and pushing insane 12" barrel numbers. Its a really cool system, but its not something you can get max performance out of without an action like the Spear that was built to handle that kind of pressure, and even those have a...
I pop my Takedown 22 apart, toss the baffles in the wet tumbler, and they're clean enough to eat off of in about 1/2 hour with just water and soap. Rimfire 22 is probably the best to suppress, especially when its that easy to clean.
I have a YHM Mite that was recored to Stinger spec, a Mask HD, a TacSol TSS integral, and a Takedown 22. The YHM trails behind the rest, the integral is amazing, the Mask and TBAC are super close. I really like how the TBAC is made, its a beautiful piece of machining, doesn't hurt that it...
Its an amazing cartridge especially in an actual short action, and I think there are a good amount of people coming to see that. Its not for the recoil sensitive folks dominating the conversation currently, but for people who want max power in minimum size its hard to beat. I had one built on...
I have 2 of the T1x, they are superb rifles. There are chassis that work with the T1x, so no problem if that's what you're looking for. Mine have been exceptionally accurate and sound amazing suppressed, but then again so would any bolt 22.
What are you using for brass and how are you prepping it? How fast are you pushing the various projectiles? Does it show a preference for lighter or heavier projectiles? My buddy has a 35 year old Winchester Model 70 in 300wby that he loves and has killed a ton of game with, but its never...
For a short barrel build, I'd really recommend 300wsm instead of 300wm. I'd highly recommend the Defiance anTi short action, 20" Carbon6 or Proof, and a nice stock like a Manners.
I had a 260rem cut to 16" for my nieces and nephews to hunt with suppressed. Velocity loss wasn't too bad, I'd do it again. I went down a weight class in projectile and switched to monos, so velocity is really good.
I can't see why it wouldn't be fine. My couple of 6arc rifles were 1:7.5, 16" suppressed and handled the 105 and 108 Hornady both factory and reloaded with no problems, even at slower velocities than .243 will.
Seemed like people were getting about 2900 out of the 175 in 26”, so I punched that into Hornady app, didn’t know your elevation, so I left it at my 5000ft.
It’s very easy to make one if you can get a muzzle velocity with your gun and that ammo. You need to proof what the ballistics program spits out with your results in the field, but it’s usually fairly workable.
The 4.7 is a neat but flawed engine. They have water pump and head/valve seat issues. The trucks they came in aren’t all that special, of the two I’d go Nissan, but we did love our ‘06 Dakota.
I have a ‘14 Power Wagon with the 6.4, so pretty close. Mine has the 6 speed auto, the ‘17 should have the 8 which is a way better trans. Mine had a trans pump failure, but it’s been trouble free otherwise. I put the truck on 35s from the first day I owned it, and it has a flatbed, so mileage...
