There’s some pockets of coues in 8 and 19a. Don’t know much about the specific area you’re asking about but good glassing in both. Some parts of 19a I gave up on for archery because it’s so full of gambels oak and manzanita my current skills wont allow me to sneak up on anything in that stuff...
I guess states can get a little extra money doing preference points but it seems self defeating at this point to not have some sort of randomness to any draw system.

We were able to see elk everyday but they were moving around a bunch and we couldn’t get close to them. With how much bugling there was we went and bought elk calls. I can make an ok cow sound but the worst bugles you’ve ever heard. I actually cut the bottom off a water bottle to use as a bugle...
Finished the hunt up successfully. Me and my buddies had to call to get them. Was pretty fun hunting in the rut. Bugles all over, very responsive to calls, bulls everywhere

Toes, ankles, knees and elbow. Ibuprofen and lots of water, I mean tons of water. Alcohol and sugar cause mine. Exercise helps prevent it, and laying off sugar and alcohol
I have tons of conversations with non hunters but very rarely run into anti hunters. I don’t skirt the issue of killing, especially since I do a lot of predator hunting, but the conversation usually ends up talking management and conservation
