I have large Impertech bibs and the long coat (also large) and am 6'1" and 170. I wear a 32x34 pant and the bibs fit well with sufficient room to layer up underneath as I oft do in late fall hunts in Alaska. I bought a pair for a friend who is about 5'10" and ~185 and they fit him well also.
This morning I went out calling for the first time this season. I had several spots in mind to make my stands and ended up being successful at the first, an elevated position in a patch of woods, with unusally good visibility through the trees and a recreational trail running down through the...
I'm interested in getting a simple optic for a 22 rifle. I think what I want is something with an etched reticle so that no illumination is necessary. This is just for plinking and small game hunting at ranges under 50 yds, so I'd prefer a simple and inexpensive sight.
Is there one that looks...
I've skinned lots of furbearers with my Case copperlock. I typically use larger knives on bigger game, but I have a Moore Maker jumbo trapper in carbon steel that would work great.
Mora companion. About $16.
Bucklite max II small 684 . About $28.
Those are both very practical and useful knives, not to mention very affordable. With that combo I think you can easily accomplish any job in the field that would require a knife.
They are incredible glass. After comparing the Maven B6 10x50, Kowa Genesis 10.5x44 and GPO Passion HD 10x42 I decided to keep the GPO's. The Kowa's are absolutely stunning optically, but were a little heavier than the others.
I just returned from a moose hunt where we were glassing many hours per day from first to last light and my Passion HD 10x42's were stellar. I could not be happier with them. Going on two years now and I would not hesitate to buy them again.
I like using a climbing stand if I am in an 'open' area that has high brush. Climbing a tree near the tree line is productive for scouting, and glassing/sitting/calling during hunting season.
I've been using electrical tape on the muzzle of my rifles for years with no adverse effects. Keeps the snow out in the winter and water, mud, or debris out in the fall!
I'm not interested in the modern made in China lineup. I am trying to verify where this one was made and from which era of Marbles production.
Are all of the models made in USA stamped to indicate that?
