    Left hand quality rifle

It’s not. AFAIK. Tikka only chambered the 6.5PRC in LH in the CTR. Too bad. If they’d do the SS SL in 6.5PRC, I’d get one.

    Does Dialing Take Too Long?

Yes, and yes. ‘Practical’ precision shooting and long range shooting have to be the fastest growing segment of the shooting sports up here. At least until Prince Sparkle Socks and his minions realize how fun it is. Haha. But, competent availability has been a very real issue up here, for at...

    Does Dialing Take Too Long?

Ah yes. The Stinky Coyote ‘what if’s’… I remember you from Alberta Outdoorsmen before you were banned, (Shoot any moose in the arse lately?) I usually can’t be bothered, but I’ll humor your trolling this time… The scenario I outlined was well beyond MPBR, and wasn’t happening without a solid...

    Does Dialing Take Too Long?

100M zero. I strongly prefer to dial ele, if the shot requires it. With time and practice, its just become part of my work flow, so doesn't really add time. That said... We practice holding with our Mil reticles, but I've only held for one shot hunting. A bull elk a couple years ago. The herd...

    Bushnell/GAP LRHS2

    Yep.

    Left hand quality rifle

708 or 6.5CM are ideal all arounders. We’ve used them for all you mention, and Northern Alberta bull moose. You won’t shoot a Tikka in any 300 mag much IME. And proficiency from practice matters far more than chambering, again IMO/E. 😉

    Left hand quality rifle

Not much to choose from in the way of LH bolt rifles. Especially with your criteria. Tikka T3x SuperLite would be a safe bet.

your good (or not so good) customer service interactions of late

Schnees was exceptional to deal with over a misunderstanding on a recent boot order. Exemplary customer service. Boots seem nice so far also. They seem to know how to create repeat customers. 😉

What is your go-to rifle? Share a picture!

Nice rig and deer! I'm still kicking myself for passing on those Schmidt 6x when they were available. ☹️

Old School: Who Doesn't Hunt with a Muzzle Brake or Suppressor?

I have a few braked rifles- comp/target guns- but never hunt with them. We aren’t ‘allowed’ suppressors here in Canukistan. If we were, I’d probably set up some of my rifles for them. But not all, I’m not interested in adding weight to my ultralights.

Monos vs. Lead. Which do you choose and why?

Both. Depends on the situation and application.

    Solomon 4D flex rating?

I like the 4D for what it is. There are better choices for off-trail in the mountains. I switch boots depending on the trip. But they’re a decent choice for less demanding terrain. But I only buy them on sale, because durability isn’t there. Still not sure I’m a fan of the new model, but don’t...

    6.5 Bullet for antelope

Probably sub-150 meters on average? Longest ~300. We consider it a 400ish Meter max load and switch to other projectiles for longer range shots. Some have. None have gone far. I shot my bull moose a couple years ago, at around 80 meters. He was facing me. So I shot him high in the chest, the...

Barnes 145 Match Burners on game?

Not all 'hunting' bullets are constructed equally. Same goes for 'match' bullets. I, and hunting buds, have had excellent performance from the 147ELD on multiple elk and deer. Still haven’t managed to catch one, even in bull elk. But I don’t have experience with the Barnes MB, so appreciate...

    Thnx! That helps a bunch!

Barnes 145 Match Burners on game?

I appreciate the input, Form. For a guy who doesn’t have any experience with the VLDs- how would you say they compare with the penetration and performance of the 147ELD at CM speeds?

Barnes 145 Match Burners on game?

Have any Roksliders used these on big game? Or any of the other Match Burners? We’ve been using ELDs with excellent results the last several years, and will continue with them, but looking at other possible higher BC options.

Tikka and NF SHV mount question

Same here! England to Alberta in no time. And then he’d touch base to make sure it arrived and all was good.

That’s too bad. His CS was excellent, in my experience.

Tikka and NF SHV mount question

Talley LWs cracking isn't all that rare, IME. I've seen 2 crack, they'd been properly installed and torqued. The SM are hard to beat on the Tikka T3x. Light and tough. Unless inclination is a requirement- then one of the pinned rails, bedded and torqued. I like the Area419, but buddies have had...
