Id buy a LH Tikka and have it cut/threaded. Or do a Proof prefit.
LH Tikkas are plentiful, with lots of aftermarket parts an available now. And as an added bonus, come with a good, reliable fire control mechanism.
Yessir. My son is up north working right now. But I’ll get you a picture when he gets back.
I was surprised they hadn’t put more thought into the aesthetics for their Kimber rings. They aren’t cheap rings, for cheap rifles.
We put one piece 30mm Leupold Backcountry’s on my son’s 308 84M. They’re 7075 alloy and seem to be better machined than Talley LWs. The design aesthetics could be better, IE; square edges overhanging the loading port. But it’s minor, as long as they’re solid. Time will tell.
Personally, I won't...
That video was one of the reasons I started this thread. LOL. The final push I needed to clean up this part of my backpack menu. I’ve made changes to my breakfasts, other snacks, electrolytes and freeze dried suppers. It’ll be nice to have healthier snack bar alternatives.
I like having camp shoes along, but don’t want the extra weight most of the time.
Yeah. I usually pack at least a thin merino base layer. Also good for sleeping in. I prefer to sleep clothed anyway, and it helps keep sleep gear clean.
Appreciate all the suggestions guys! I’ll check each one out. I maybe overstressed the ‘no sugar’ criteria, more like no added. Or if added, preferably natural sweeteners. Just looking for options to many of the commonly available bars, which are almost like eating a Snickers in terms of sugar...
My daily diet sounds similar. Over a year ago, I cut almost all processed foods, alcohol, soft drinks, and any foods with added/high sugar. It was kind of a grind at first, but has really improved my overall gut health and just how I feel overall. Hate to go backwards from that.
I backpack...
I’m trying to put together a healthier backpacking menu this year. Have been trying and liking some better freeze dried meals. But still searching for low/zero sugar, balanced, high protein bars.
What have Roksliders been eating on the mountain? Recommendations please.
Guys use cases will all differ at least a little. I buy good condition used or new vehicles, and then drive them into the ground. Anymore we only own Toyotas for long term reliability and durability. And we get every last Mennonite inch out of them.
8000 kilometer oil change intervals. Full...
All due respect, but the bolded part of your statement isn’t accurate. The 5-round limit applies to semiautomatic centerfire rifles only.
Other provinces hunting regulations may have that restriction, but not Alberta. Our firearms laws are a bad joke.
Silnylon does sag a little with moisture. But its a minor problem, with a 5 second solution. I use a pole with length left when pitching my silny shelters. Extend it a notch or two if the shelter develops slack in rain or heavy dew. Sometimes I’ll tighten up an additional guy line or two, but...
I also used a Arcteryx Bora 80 for backpacking and hunting for quite a few years. They were decent packs for their time, but fairly heavy base weight and not as comfortable with a heavy load as my current SG XCurve. (Lack of a load shelf isn’t awesome either.) I don’t miss using the Bora, but if...
Good review. My buddy purchased one of these shortly after they were introduced. It’s a great spotter for the money. We’ve compared his 65mm Tract with a couple different 85mm Razors on several occasions, and the Tract is much better optically. Resolution, contrast, color reduction and even low...
