You can’t buy a goat hunt in Alberta, so no need to worry about that. Even for residents, they only draw 5 tags for the whole province. Very low odds of ending up with a tag. If you are native or metis though, it’s open season. Hunt them all year long with no bag limit. Sweet system up here.
Aaand I’m back wanting to try a pair. Haha
I’ll bite the bullet at some point and take them on a few scouting trips before committing to a full 10 day trip. Been wearing minimalist shoes for a while now and running finally feels better.
Has anyone taken these on a sheep hunt yet? I’m on board with idea especially for high mileage on trail, or soft ground off trail, just hesitant on the performance while climbing/descending actual mountain terrain. Thinking basketball sized boulder fields where your feet regularly get rolled...
While I don’t disagree about the companionship of a dog, just be aware that Grizz are known to attack more often if there is a dog involved.
Allegedly.
And depending on the contour, you could actually save weight by going with a steel barrel. Carbon barrels are only lighter than their same contour steel equivalent. A steel sporter will be lighter typically.
Same story here fox, not sure where I read about it but it does ring a bell. If it ended up being an issue though, you could send the action in to UM for some milling.
