He is having it built, so he can have it throated any way he wants. The 2506 has more case capacity than the creedmore or the 250 savage. So why would those other 2 be a better option?
I haven't had a problem at all with them. As far as it breaking off, I keep mine attached to the 4 wheeler while it is on the trailer doing 80 down the interstate and it is a 3 hour drive each way to the camp.
I have a vx6hd that has been great. It is the 3x18x44. Supposedly they don't hold zero but mine has been rock solid so far, I haven't done any drop testing though and don't plan on it.
It's designed for range finding. Center of cross hair to bottom where the line thickens is for whitetail and top to bottom of fine lines is for elk. Don't know how accurate it is but that is Leopolds description. I have an old scope with the same thing.
