    SW Kansas opener

Live in Central KS and hunt birds from home, west and into Eastern Colorado. Opening weekend is usually a zoo. Bird numbers in general are better the farther west you travel in the state of KS. Opening weekend of Pheasant is usually a big deal when it comes to families & friends. Its a...

Ruger Model 77 MKII - 30-06 update or upgrade?

I have a M77 MKII 25-06 that is now 25 years old. I put a Timney in it several years ago and it made a world of difference. I am wholly confident with with my MK II out to 450 yards. It also sounds like you are keenly aware of recoil (I'm not so much), and a limb saver pad may be of benefit...

    Wool socks

Darn tough 1403 (?) for several years now. They are medium weight with cushion in the heel and toe only. I wear them 7 days a week. I’m on my feet all day in boots. I’ve had one pair replaced on warranty. I was honest and told them I snagged them on a piece of iron in my garage. I paid the...

At what point do you sell a rifle?

Look at it pragmatically as wildcat stated. Fwiw I own a 1953 Marlin 35 Rem. It was my late father's and never ever will it be sold. My oldest of 3 sons has shot his first 2 deer with it. Lyman peep sight with leverevolution Ammo. Nothing but good things to say about the rifle and the ammo...

    L

If you flip that L over can it be used as a 7? I like items in my pack to have dual uses if possible. Saves on space and weight.
