Thank you. THAT answers my question. I was hopeful...but you confirmed what I thought.

On low powwr, can't see the reticle against a dark background...why I went back to SFP.
Much appreciate all the responses.
My .243 has a 1:8 twist. Lots'a good folks highly recommend 85/87 gr bullets. With an 8 twist - FOR WILEY - is there any advantage to going to a heavier bullet??
If so - recommendations?
Thanks.
SFP............. If I sight in using a particular power (be it 8x - 10x - 12x - 14x) as long as I'm on THAT particular power that I sighted in with - each of my hashmarks is still valid - yes?
Thanks.
Thanks. Understood on your FFP AND SFP comments. Helpful. Went to FFP - came back to SFP in spite of its disadvantages (?). Works better for me personally. New to all this "dialing..." a work on progress for sure.
As for folks answering my 2 questions? YOU DID. Thank you.
Will try to make these SFP scope questions as simple as possible. Pls understand, NOT asking to compare MIL / MOA / FFP / SFP.
Here are the HYPOTHETICAL particulars at the bench.
1. SFP scope – 6x24x50 – Xmas Tree Reticle.
2. Scope on 24x at 100 yards.
3. Under MOA groups follow.
4. I use...
Maven? Sorry, can't comment. No experience with one.
Leupold - IMHO - NEVER, EVER a bad decision. <- Over 6 decades of experience with too many of them to count. Have a 5HD on my Whelen. 1st rate scope - 5 stars.
Zeiss Conquests - have 2 V4's SFP. VERY much like their KISS features. Optical...
I'm genuinely sorry for your loss and applaud your post.
Folks - you simply can NOT imagine what can happen when there's property/assets to divide and no will. And, should you believe leaving a will casts in stone your wishes after you are gone - think again. Don't ask me how I know this...
To all who took the time to reply, and Jason who sent images, just wanted to say thanks. Researching all the packs was enjoyable, trying to pick the right one - not so much. Anyway, no surprise, there's no perfect pack, all have tradeoffs. I looked very hard at the K Late Season and the MR...
Images helped a lot Jason. Thank you! My resistance to the external frame is mostly about it adding size, not cost or weight. It's because I don't have the experience of the members here who are kind enough to respond that I keep dismissing the external frame. Maybe I shouldn't be? Every word...
Possibly right on the Nomad? Please remember, these will be guided hunts out of state. I honestly do not see heavy lods going in or out - not that I wouldn't help my guide - used to pitching in without being asked. Was leaning hard towards the T3 - no frame - not sure about the Nomad "wing"...
Thank you gentlemen. At least I've got this down to a few packs. B-mode, that video was very helpful. Justin, appreciate the contact info, may call you. Had considered the MR packs - Bighorn 1st pick - drifted over here because of the K suspension reviews and Aron's assistance. Will likely...
Roger that on it being a smaller pack - excellent point - and why the T3 interests me. A 1 pack purchase knowing the T3 might require another purchase. I honestly don't have money to burn so the Nomad 1 bag concept is also really appealing. Like you've suggested, I am looking at the Nomad...
Justin - Really glad to hear you say that because I agree and had moved the T3 into 1st place, but with some reservations because I can't really tell the compressed size. Hard to do online and this is not an inexpensive purchase. Not saying the packs aren't worth the $, just sayin,…... I know I...
$400 to $500 would be nice - but I would spend more for the "right" pack. I've seriously considered the "frame" for all the good reasons mentioned - makes good sense - just not sure a) I need it and b) please remember my 1st priority, shrinking the pack. I know that may sound shortsighted to...
Interestingly enough, the Nomad was Araon's 1st pick. With the frame included brought it to ~$600, something I had to think about first. Not saying no as I do intend to buy a quality pack, just exploring a few other options. Appreciate your response.
Greetings. Just made my first post earlier,….."Shrink Pack."
Seems like a great Forum here, nice people. Aron's sincerity & willingness to help brought me here. I'm short on pack selection experience but having a fairly good idea what I want from my pack, here I am with my questions.
I'm a...
Hello everyone, new member, my first post here.
First, a sincere thank you to Aron who graciously took the time to call me, answered my questions, actually listened and genuinely tried to help. It's his support and service ethic that brought me here. I've been studying his recommendations on...
