    2.5-15x: The ideal hunting scope?

    I'm a 2.5-8 guy. If you can pack that magnification into a scope the size and weight of my VX-3i and not give up anything optically, I'm all for it -- don't need 15x, but won't turn it down.

    Bino Tripod

    I wish using binos on a tripod had been a "thing" a long time ago. I have discovered it relatively late in my hunting career, and if glassing is a big part of your hunt, putting those binos on a tripod can't be beat.

    Sam’s Club. I have had very mixed results buying batteries from Amazon. Edited to say: "mixed" means mostly bad and that include Surefires and Energizer. I'm with Desk Jockey on the knock off potential.
