On point of gunshot and knife deaths - I hope all hunters will learn about STOP-THE-BLEED.
Stop-The-Bleed is a training campaign that arose out of the tragic mass shootings in recent years. Among the findings in the aftermath of those awful events was how many lives could have been saved with...
No I did not think you were starting an argument either, thanks. And those stats are very enlightening.
Thankfully it is now so foreign to most of us - how could 340 hunters possibly be shot to death in one year?!? What in the hell were people doing?
Not going to argue but you made me curious. When they just say "fatal hunting accident" there is no way to know.
So I did find a very interesting article about hunter injuries and fatals in Colorado. Two top cause of hunter injuries/fatals are cardiac arrest and their own knives! Again...
10 fatalities. Could have been bullets, falling, vehicle, hypothermia, bears, getting lost. Add to that the inability to get help as quickly as we can now; many injuries went fatal simply because you couldn't get help and nobody knew CPR.
We now know more about how to prevent many causes of...
Does anybody use or know of a treatment such as a spray varnish or oil that will enhance/preserve the color on elk, deer, and moose antlers. Not in velvet.
Thanks
Yeah, but maybe minimalist is to use lighter weight, dedicated best glass for glassing and not pull out the rangefinder until you have something to range.
Fun discussion - first world problems, huh!
Agree 100% on wanting an option to just delete our own ads!!!
Honestly I didn't know how to tell that a thread is closed until I saw your post and went back into the listings to figure it out. Now I see it, fair enough. However many aren't even doing that.
It's not intuitively obvious as to...
Actually it's the three dots icon ( ...\/) above your first post to the right of "Jump tp New" and "Watch". If you click on that and "Edit Prefix" to "Sold", it shows up as Sold and locks the thread at the same time.
It is really frustrating to search for items and click on so many "WTS" posts that already sold.
Congrats on your sale, but please change your icon to "Sold". It's easier than posting your item in the first place.
Some aren't even updating their post, then we have to PM you to see if you still...
Yes I did search, but threads that kick out all seem to be about which brand is best and most effective, not so much whether people are happy with their decision to go with rang-ers after using them. I'll try to search with different words..
Thanks for your answer.
My email to Swarovski about this two weeks ago, and his answer . . . .
"Hello David (Swarovski Sales Rep),
I am wondering about the age of my EL 10x42’s (2010). They are still working great but I am wondering if it is worth updating them. I only care about the vision, not any features like...
Looking for experiences / comments - have you gone to to ranging binos and back to just binos plus rangefinder? Or who has kept the ranging binos and not looked back?
Seems like you have to sacrifice a little optic quality (light, FOV?) to get ranging options even in the higher end.
