Who makes something similar to Kuiu's Kutana pants?

Some interesting options - thanks everyone!

Who makes something similar to Kuiu's Kutana pants?

I like Kuiu and own multiples of their Kutanas, Attacks and Tiburon pants. I find the Tiburons too fragile for brush and the Attacks are more of a winter pant - Kutanas are my go-to for Pronghorn, Upland and early Whitetail. Problem is I am perfectly in-between sizes and they only make...

How to catch an untrapable mouse.

To quote a neighbor: "The mouse has not yet been invented that can resist a Cheeto"

Kuiu Upland Field Vest Review ***Updated 11/24/24***

I recycled that catalog without looking at it this morning. Anyone able to share an image of what this thing looks like?

    Iowa Zone 9

I was just in Lansing a few days ago. Also used to get that outfitter's email blasts for years - that explains why they stopped!

My girlfriend got bit by a raccoon this evening…

Reminds me of when I was a kid... Came home from school, alone in the house, let the two dogs out into the (fenced) yard. Moments later, much barking. I go out and see they have a Raccoon cornered. Looks to be about to get ugly, and my folks had warned about a possibly rabid raccoon being...

Installing pit zips in raincoat ?

Have not done it, but I say go for it. Pit Zips should be mandatory on all rainjackets.

    Humbled

I mean....golly, I'm just glad that every once in a great while, I actually don't screw the pooch.

Camo for Goats in the open?

Completely get that camo is secondary. However my guy is, in that light yellow landscape, effectively going goth in all black. I actually really like the idea of just wearing khaki solids.

Camo for Goats in the open?

So...Archery goats near the MT/ND/SD tripoint. I know there's no silver bullet here, but I am trying to steer a buddy away from using dark eastern timber patterns which stand out like a walking tree in the prairie. We tend to hunt very open rangeland with grasses and some low sage, and even...

    Cynergy receiver trigger/safety rattle?

I see you figured it out - I had the exact same concern when I bought mine. Gunsmith said "Inertia block, idiot!" Actually he was only thinking "idiot" and was kind enough not to say it to my face. :-)

    2024 Turkey Meat Pole

On the board about an hour ago. Never been so covered up - 5 jakes and 4 Toms within 50 yards. Could have shot several if I had more tags.

    Did it make the jump?

We finally have had some CWD cases in our immediate neighborhood - it's been coming. So I guess we'll start testing kills. I did have an old family friend (well...early 50's - not that old) die of CJD a few years ago. Not from a hunting family, so less likely to be a connection. Horrible way...

Want a canoe, know nothing about them

Nice boats - guessing here, but Mad River on the right and Souris River on the left?

Want a canoe, know nothing about them

Thanks for the additional info. You'll have to make decisions about where to give, as the canoe you need is going to be a unicorn. If budget were no object, I'd say a heavier Kevlar layup prospector or similar downriver hull...but perhaps something in a lighter material like Tuf-weave or...

Want a canoe, know nothing about them

I currently own 6 canoes - extended wilderness tripping is part of my/our lives, and I was paddling yesterday. First: Tandem or Solo? Second: How big/strong are you? Loading a 75# canoe is wildly different than a 40# canoe for most mere mortals. Third: When you say camp...overnighters...

    Crossing Canda border

As pointed out, a DUI can be a real issue. Foods - nothing fresh, just packaged foods, & you should be OK. A couple years ago we were in line to cross into Canada...a single line, maybe a dozen vehicles. Two in front of us was a pickup hauling a fishing boat. Those guys thought that they...

How do you carry bow elk hunting CO? Bow Hitch worth it?

I also bought those Marsupial clips and put them on my bino harness. Completely agree that they are not the solution when you are moving. Tried that and it's a fail. But those times where I need two hands and don't want to put the bow down...nice for that.

    Canoe hunts

There is not - I'm betting that canoe is going to get towed by another one.
