Anything soft seems to have moisture in it and gets hard. I do a lot of peanut butter crackers and jerky when it’s cold. Or like others said, put a bar or two in your pockets (or in your sleeping bag/under your pillow at night) and just plan ahead on what you need to eat so it stays warm.
It felt roomier than what I have now, which is a no slide dinette thats pretty cramped. I really like being able to pull that ottoman out, nice feature. I did not like the free floating table that I have to remember to start down....but like with everything else I am sure I would develop my...
Thank you, yeah this isn't my first trailer, so I know the drill. Although I have had very good luck with our current rig and have had very few inconveniences.
I went yesterday and looked at a 2023 and brought the build sheet home and called grand design to make sure the exact trailer I was...
Thanks, I have the 3.5 eco boost which is allegedly better at altitude with the turbos over the normal aspirated engines, part of why I bought that engine living here. Not saying I won't want for more at all, will just have to see if I pull the trigger.
Nice looking setup you have there!
Yeah, thats about the same conclusion I am coming to as well. I have looked them on a lot and then walked into some other brands 5 mins later and the difference comes across pretty quick on fit/finish on the inside & out. It seems like the thickness/construction of the laminated aluminum side...
Awesome, thank you for the post. Seems to be the norm where people go from a 1/2 ton to the bigger truck. I am sure I will someday, but just love the lighter 1/2 ton for off-road, deep snow, and daily driving...it feels like giving up a lot from a guy who's never owned a 3/4...not to mention...
I have looked at Lance and I know they are up there when you are talking about the Northwoods or Outdoors RV type true 4 season models. I can’t remember why I wrote the lances off, it was either weight or floor plans. But I’ll go back and look at them again. Thank you for the reply!
Yeah I’ve looked at all the true 4 season models but everything points to the tail wagging the dog on a 1/2 ton. There’s a couple nice used Nash trailers out there right now (made by north woods who makes your arctic fox) I just would hate to buy a trailer and then be forced to get a new truck...
Great, thanks for the feedback, and great to know you’re driving the same places I would be. Sounds like real world I’d be more than just fine.
And yes the Imagine checks a lot of boxes with the insulation package, and the enclosed underbelly for the tanks. I only go dry once we hit late Oct -...
Good to know. Do you ever get any overheating issues on long mountain pass pulls? That seems to be the nemesis on the eco boosts where they get hot, but I do have an extra cooler of some sorts in my Max Tow package which I am thinking will help.
My F150 model has 1,725 payload, GD quotes 505...
Thank you. I actually walked through the 23BHE in the imagine XLS, very similar (if not 99% the exact same insides) as the imagine 2400BH.
I have the 3.5 ecoboost with the max tow goodies, not sure how the two trucks would compare, but your thinking is like mine where 8/10 times the pulling is...
I need to upsize our current travel trailer to fit my growing family and I’ve been pouring over the options and have narrowed it down to the Grand Design Imagine 2400BH.
Must haves:
Half ton towable (not ready to go up to a 3/4 yet)
Well insulated for late season hunting & spring camping...
I just spent a week wearing the ambient hoody and it’s awesome. I’d probably say that it will be in my kit for a long time. I saw temps from the teens to 60’s in the last week up high and I wore it every morning until about 9am when it warmed up; then it was back on every evening when the sun...
I think you made a great play, I’ve been in CDEV since the beginning of time with Broomed. We’ve seen it all, one thing is for sure…she will run one day and run hard. It’s happened many a time.
I personally think it was a good buy and if I had more guts I would have bought more, just hard when you are in pretty deep at about a $1.00 avg to add up here....seems better to wait it out.
APA is the other one I have been playing for swings and it got hammered today as well. Might be one to...
