I own several pairs of Kuiu Tiburons, Sitka Equinox Guard pants & Wrangle ATG’s.
The Tiburons are by far the lightest, most breathable pant I own. This comes at a trade-off, lightweight and durable are completely different ends of the spectrum. I would never go through a briar patch wearing my...
WOA make some of the finest barrels from my understanding.
I haven’t heard of any durability issues from their uppers, I am about to buy a WOA 18” complete upper myself. I’ve been looking into them for several years now. Tons of great YouTube reviews, as well as reviews on other forums such as...
Climbing stick wise:
Hunting Beast Sticks or Tethrd One sticks.
Hunting Beast will bite literally any tree and not kick out, no moving parts, double steps, extremely durable, good stand-off distance, Grade 8 hardware. Cons; “heavy” at 1.4# per stick, don’t pack the greatest
Tethrd One...
For solely hunting purposes, a 2” sight housing Montana Black Gold sight in either a fixed or sliding configuration. Utilize the largest peep sight you possibly can, be it 1/4” or 5/16” so those first & last light shots don’t get you.
I mainly bow hunt Georgia in dense foliage with the average...
How much time do y’all have?
This is such a rabbit hole of a topic, we can go back and fourth for hours. Saddles are very user specific, no saddle will fit everyone. Different body shapes, sizes and even hunting style will dictate saddle choice. That’s why places like Archery Talk and Saddle...
Here’s the video that sold me on Ozonics. RIP Todd Pringnitz but he demonstrated perfectly with a mature buck downwind of his position, with milkweed hitting the buck in the face.
Most guys will attempt to downplay it by saying “the bucks in the rut” or whatever.. but the fact of the matter is...
You’re missing the point of the video, in my opinion.
You’re attempting to compare “serious shooters” as you stated above, to the average American gun owner and/or hunter.
The point of this video was to see what the average American gun owner and/or hunter could do with their equipment.
You do realize they were at the range FOR 5 DAYS.
They had even advertised on Facebook, YouTube etc about the $1k bounty.
5 days. Several days the “best” shooting group was 4 MOA.
Watch the video.
We need some more videos such as these. 5 days of shooting, even being advertised on Facebook, YouTube etc with a $1k bounty.
The results may humble some of y’all (or not)
I’ve read up on CWD, Mad Cow Disease, CJD etc..
I truly think it’s going to become a very large issue. Once “the jump” from deer to cows or pigs happens, humans will absolutely be next. To think CWD can only affect Deer and no other Mammals is naive.
That may take 5 years or 10-15 years...
I’m in the Glock 45/19 camp with a weapon light & red dot.
The caliber choice doesn’t matter as much as the amount of time spent practicing & carrying that particular gun.
Would I rather spent $500 on a gun and have say $1,500 for ammo, classes, range time
OR
Spend $2k+ on a Staccato, but...
It’s a shame how awful stock Glock triggers are. Even the PSA Dagger factory triggers were better. The one PSA Dagger with polished internals actually has such a nice trigger and trigger break now, I may leave it.
All my factory Glock’s I did the same polishing work to, ended up replacing the...
I love it.
I’m currently sending the bottom gun off to my smith to get chopped, threaded, custom red dot mount and lengthen the forcing cone.
The Stevens 301 will get chopped in June-July when I’m done with it.
OAL on the Charles Daly 101 is 36” to the end of the barrel, will be 33-34” when...
I ended up buying 2 Palmetto State Armory Daggers (Compact & Full size) The compact is a G19 gen3 clone and the Full Size is a G45 clone.
The Full Size has an Optic, polished internals, Overwatch Precision TAC trigger and suppressor height sights. Gun has 500 on it so far with no issues...
While not a 6mm, I’ve had fantastic results with the 140 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips in 6.5 Creed’s on multiple whitetails in Georgia.
It’s also my understanding that the 95 grain Ballistic Tip is THE Whitetail bullet for the .243 caliber.
That being said, I’d seriously look into a Ballistic...
I bought this Franchi Affinity in 2017 or 2018- I honestly cannot remember.
The gun has killed dove, quail, ducks, geese, deer and turkey. Been across the Country dozens of times and the only thing I changed was the recoil spring, because it finally gave out after I don’t know how many...
