Ennis is about an hour away and is full of fly shops and guides for the Madison. I would recommend booking with Madison River Fishing Company. If you must go out of Bozeman, I don't have any actual recommendations.
I have had a 12X12 for 16 years. I love the tent and it works great. I have looked at the 12X20 a couple times but normally hunt alone now so no need for that big.
I know a queen air mattress sounds like what you want, but I would recommend individual cots instead. Every time someone moves...
I hunt the same zone and the bugling has been different each year for the last 6 that I have hunted it. Some years opening night has elk screaming all around. Some years I don't hear a peep until the last week. I think the amount of rain, fires (I think this is pretty big as it changes...
Jg48, I would be really curious to hear the final outcome here. I also have a long DL of 33" and I have had a terrible time with arrow spine if I put anything extra up front beyond a 125 grain BH and regular insert. Are you putting any weight on the back of the arrow?
I would not think so as you have your truck bucking the wind first, but I have no real world experience. My 16 footer has a slight V which I like as it gives a bit more storage space and the box is actually 16. A lot of Vs are total length so a 14 V might only have a 12.5 box.
Kenetrek boots is also in Bozeman so if you were ever interested in them you can get sized and try on many different boots.
Watch for Randy Newberg at the DQ
I've been looking for Stagg Jr for 2 years here in Idaho. 2 years ago it was pretty available. Have not seen a bottle since. Local liquor store got 1 shipment of 4 bottles this year.
I am 6’4” and 245. About your size. I have a BA park series. Deer park I think in a down bag. I also use EE quilts. Extra wide long. Issue with the quilts is when its really cold and you want the bag over your head. This year I picked up a couple of Kifaru slick bags. Plenty roomy in the long...
My Alaknak is about 15 years old. The old ones are all the same color. No different color on the window covers.
That is the only difference I can see from the photos online.
If you are asking because of the Motorized restrictions. When in doubt, walk. Or a quick call to F&G could tell you if they consider a "jeep trail" a road for motorized travel.

If you are planning to go to Bozeman, make the loop and drive by Quake Lake and Hebgen Lake. Stopping at the Quake lake visitor center is worth the time.
I am 6'4" and have a Big Agnes 3 wire that I fit in fine. If you want to go floorless it is hard to beat the Mt Smith Mountain LT for size, cost and wt.
