That turned out really nice! You got me thinking about a diesel heater for my wall tent now. Tent is only 8x10 and when the stove is needed it takes up some valuable floor space. Diesel heater outside ducted inside might be a sweet solution. Any feedback on noise from the heater?
Rabbit got me one time and a squirrel another. Luckily both times were pretty minor. Rabbit got my mass air flow sensor so I was still able to drive, the other was the wiring for A/C. Not ideal, but way better than having a no start situation in the mountains
The Kelvin is much lighter and being windproof makes it feel warmer. The traverse is quiet and has a great hood. I use the Kelvin lite as an insulation piece or to slip on when glassing. The traverse is an outer layer I use to sneak through the timber.
Like most here, an extra in my pack. I have left camp or the truck a time or two without it on my wrist. Having an extra in the pack has save myself or a buddy a long walk back, or worse just taking the bow for a walk.
I guess I should have been more specific. I understand the regulations part, but was wondering if they were tracking the population of 3 point mule deer? They came out with the tag last year so I figured there must be a number of them hanging around. I just haven't been able to find harvest info...
Check out the wingman. Nothing fancy, but has spring loaded pliers and covers the basics. I use the little scissors way more than I ever thought I would
IMO a 34ft camper is a little overkill for camping 8-10 times a year. I think it would be cheaper to use the big camper until you get in the rental. Then swap campers for a smaller one. I Iike smaller campers though. Easier to maneuver and the plan when camping is to enjoy the outdoors.
