If anyone that has gone or is planning on going.
I'm curious what the upfront and all in cost would be. This is one of those bucket list things at some point im thinking.
PM is fine. Thz
U due u.
At 73 I'm sure your not working a 9-5 anymore in retirement...
Have all day to get what ever u can dream up done. On the other hand there are others that im sure don't have that luxury.
After listening to the meateater close calls book on audible. Immediately thought of my joke of a med kit.
Figured it was time to updrgrade from a couple bandaids and benidrill. Ha
Not bad for a couple Oz and a little more peace of mind.
Last week of Sept.
Second kiddo arrived late June.
Wife just asked to push depqrture back as far as I could. Usually try to get out a bit earlier in the month. So it will be a interesting change up.
Hoping someone can help out.
Been shooting a new bow that I bought from my longtime archery guy. Starting to question a few things. But that is a story for a differnt day.
Hoyt ultra8 70limbs 30in draw about 68# DW. Clocking around 283fps
He said I should be fine slinging the same arrows as...
Last years bull looked like he just finished rolling in a wallow about 20min prior.
He stunk.
Would not want any piece of that hide in a game bag with meat.
Have the stratus and fanatic set.
The stratus with proper layering is good for me to around 25 maybe a bit lower depending on wind.
Fanatic it has to be below 25 before I will consider taking it out. Alot of bulk there. But dam nice when u need it.
SD Temps and winds.
Pure Chaos.
All my gear is in the basement.
Bad time to be replacing the furnace... Currently ripping out out the old flooring. Removed the old diesel tank for the burner over the weekend. Let's just say it always seems to be something creating chaos right before the season gets rolling.
That one is tricky. If I'm only hunting the weekend most likely I'm within 5hrs of home. Before kids I would be pushing the envelope and hunting the evening.
Now I like to be back if possible to help out and unpack/unwind before the workweek.
Seems like every year this day arrives faster and faster.
Hope everyone fills the freezer this year.
The grind till the end of Jan has officially begun.
Hard part is, over the years I've noticed I tend to dive real deep into one aspect of the outdoors. Then after awhile find a new passion.
End up with alot of gear.
Boat - hasn't seen the water this year.
6x12 goose decoy trailer of full-bodied
Enough traps to run a few lines longer than I...
I train all summer with a 50# pack.
So I try to keep my loads to that weight.
If it means an extra trip or two. Then that's what I due.
Over the years found going heavy 70-80 just added unknown stress to the body that it wasn't used to and would break down faster.
So I take the toartus...
I'm not as smart as alot of the archery guys on here.
But I'd start with dropping your point weight back to 100. I shoot the montects for a fair number of years. Both the 100 and 125s. Always had better luck with getting constant flight with the 100s.
After that guessing there is something...
Care to enlighten us on the concerns?
