    Just feeling them I would say I prefer the 2012. But again, I haven't loaded up the 2013 yet. I am guessing it won't be an issue. It's not hard or stiff by any means, just firmer than the 2012. Shouldn't be a deal breaker.

    The hip padding on the 2012 is a little more spongy/softer than the 2013 model. The outer fabric covering the padding seems to be the same.

    I have both a 2012 belt and a 2013 belt. I would say so far that they are both comfortable. The main complaint that I have heard about the 2012 belt is the pad that sits against your tail bone is a little hard/aggressive. I put 50-60 lbs on the pad for 10 days to break it down a bit. Worked...
