2013 kuiu icon

Hey boys, I can't believe that guys have already received their 2013 packs yet kuiu has yet to update their website so a guy could at least have a look at a pic and get some pricing.. Is it the same guy packing up and shipping the preorders that does the web maintenance and updating. What a joke.
Anyways what I was wondering is if any of you that have the new icon in a 5200 or 7200 would mind posting up some pics and your thoughts. Also what the new pricing is like?

I have been looking around for a good used 2012 7000 with not much luck. Every one say the 2012 waist belt is crap but the 2013 is supposed to be so much better. So even if I find a 2012 I would have to upgrade the belt so maybe just as far ahead to bite the bullet on a new one.

Anyways thanks if you can post up some info. Keep it together, rob.

I have both a 2012 belt and a 2013 belt. I would say so far that they are both comfortable. The main complaint that I have heard about the 2012 belt is the pad that sits against your tail bone is a little hard/aggressive. I put 50-60 lbs on the pad for 10 days to break it down a bit. Worked great for me. The pack is very comfortable with 50 lbs in it. The 2012 belt is on an Icon 5000 pack.

The 2013 belt is on one the 1850 packs and I haven't loaded it up yet with any weight. Seems like it will be comforTable too. The pad on it is a little less aggressive and the thickness of the pad is adjustable.

So far I have no complaints.

I believe the pricing is the same as the bags that are being replaced. $300 for the frame, $300 for the 7200 bag, etc. I could be wrong.

The hip padding on the 2012 is a little more spongy/softer than the 2013 model. The outer fabric covering the padding seems to be the same.

Hmmm... they went the wrong way with it then IMO. Should have made it softer.

Just feeling them I would say I prefer the 2012. But again, I haven't loaded up the 2013 yet. I am guessing it won't be an issue. It's not hard or stiff by any means, just firmer than the 2012. Shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I got hot spots on my 2012 belt with heavy loads. That's just me though.
