Nate is way off here. I'll do you a solid and buy all the XBR you have to save you the disappointment.
In all seriousness, I agree. Like Nate, Form, and others, XBR 8208 worked really well for me. Everything from 23.3-23.9gr shot really well and gave great velocity in my Tikka. Just work...
FFP MRAD EBR-7C reticle with illumination. Got this scope from Vortex as a warranty replacement for another scope that was no longer in production. Was mounted with ARC rings and rode a 13lbs 22-250 for less than 50 rounds. Like new. $625 shipped to lower 48. Payment via PayPal.
Dude, when I ordered it, I chastised myself for impulse buying. I was wrong. I use it all the time for all the things.
Question, you got a line on tactical/FDE painter's tape?
Thank you, sir.
Mirage generated by the ground causes the target to appear higher as well, correct?
Is it range dependent? i.e., given the same conditions, would there be more of a POI change at 600 than 300?
Is there a rule of thumb or way to predict those effects outside of experience?
@Formidilosus
Form, would you be willing to share some information on mirage? Specifically:
1. How much and how mirage generated by higher ground temperature affects POA/POI
2. How much and how mirage generated by a hot barrel affects POA/POI

I bought the limbsaver pad, which is super comfortable, and just drilled new holes in it offset above the ones already present. It's redneck engineering at it's finest, but has worked really well for me. Don't make a spacer like I did for the first one, thats unnecessary in my opinion. Maybe...
I will second a vote for factory tikka mags, unless you have a really good reason to go aics. My Tikkas have spent a lot of time in KRG Bravo chassis' with aics mags and now they're back in the factory stocks with factory mags. The feeding is just so good, and if you raise the buttpad up an...
I'm rarely able to keep my wobble zone within the target for any predictable amount of time while standing. Most of the time I'm timing the trigger pull as the reticle passes over the target zone, but that requires not anticipating the shot (not flinching).
