    I shoot 150 gr Partitions and get great results. My last bull in Wyoming was a complete pass thru at 550+ and a very dead bull. Shoot what your rifle likes and the elk won’t know the difference.

    I bought one a few years ago. After much thought I went with a .270 Win. Since then It has cleanly killed multiple mule deer out to 475 yards and I killed my bull elk this at 550 yards. It shoots the 150 gr. nosler ballistic tip and Partitions well under moa. I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

    My Wife's Savage loves varget with the 120 gr. Ballistic tip, 140 BT, and 139 gr. IB. You could try different primers? Or try RL17, RL19, H414, or H 4350. What kind of groups are you getting? Are you 100% sure you don't have a scope or mounts issue?

    Depends on where you hunt and your weapon type. Steep angled shot make s huge difference for bowhunters and muzzleloaders. I would get one with it. I would also highly recommend the Sig Kilo's. They are leagues ahead of even the previous best rangefinders.
