It should be well known, or at least a sticky thread, that everyone should facetime/video chat with users and their said items. Would take care of 99.9999% of the scammers.
Yet there’s people who write complaints to F&G asking for zone restrictions, more controlled hunts, waiting periods (deer tags every few years only), and APRs. Some are in this thread. Makes me bang my head against the wall.
None of the above. Maybe I’d make hunters complete mandatory habitat projects once a year and kill at least one predator a season. I’d get behind weapon technology on rifles restrictions before any of those options. Antler point restrictions have been said over and over again by experts that...
I don’t and haven’t for the last 3-5 years. I used to watch hunting videos on YouTube. Live the hunt quietly movement now. It’s better for hunting. I don’t put hunting gear talk, biologist podcast, etc in the same box. Maybe I’m a hypocrite for that?
It’s all the how to content that’s already...
Its the best rule any hunting forum has ever implemented. Now the next step is editing all the previous thread titles with unit #'s in them.
If any mod is like yea right who has the time appoint me and I will work on it for free!! :)
Interesting. I’ve never heard anyone say the way our deer hunting is being managed we will be going to a full controlled hunt statewide situation. What kind of person is saying this? Like a drunk at the Riggins bar? Or an educated and well spoken person with real experience? Who?

In before Andrew12guage blows this thread up with how wrong idaho is on this. :)
Welcome to Idaho, leave it alone unless there is actual scientific evidence that the seasons are hurting populations. Which there isn’t any. Hunting mule deer mid October is the toughest way to hunt them. We aren’t...
Summer/Alpine habitat, predators, winter kill, drought, range competition (elk, livestock, etc), fences, so many factors. What state/region are you talking about?
The biggest factor IMO is winter range and summer range habitat. Both improvement and preservation. It’s really frustrating that winter range is constantly shrinking to development. We need more habitat minded politicians to block permits to future developments. But we all know there’s far too...
Jesus what kind of trap? Send a pic to the manufacture and demand a refund. I use the havaheart brand and bobcats, coons, even medium dogs caught couldn’t break out. Rabid coon or not shouldn’t be able to break out of live traps lol
