I had Kuiu pack that was similar to your frame and 3200. I'm guessing that the 7200 was an older model.
I'd send those pics to Kuiu, ask if they can sell you the necessary pieces to convert the 7200. It appears you'd need 4 of the female buckle pieces. I'd assume you'd need them to have the...
You may have bags from 2 different era's, I had a 3200 and 7200 from the same year and their attachment methods were very similar. Post pictures of the frame and the back of each bag and it'll be easier to help you.
This is the exact Rum I thought of after reading the first post. It's a fantastic sipping rum. Not a sweet rum. Lots of flavour. The 12 year old is a gem, cheaper then their 15 or 20 year old bottles and I personally prefer it. Reminds me, I need to pickup another bottle of it.
This year was a good year, last year was a huge year for gear, replaced 75% of my kit, and this year I refined it a bit more. Didn't come home from a hunt with more then 1 item that needed to be refined for next time.
Scarpa Ribelle HD - on my 2nd set of these boots, they are a thing of...
Another vote for a big mitt with a liner glove. I prefer a polartec liner now, something with a lightly textured palm and finger tips. Nothing too crazy or it won't slide into the mitt easily.
My other requirement is a large gauntlet. Makes it easier to have a bullet proof connection between...
I haven't personally witnessed stretch in DCF. The normal mode of failure in DCF is delamination. DCF used to be named Cuben Fiber, it was utilized for spinnaker's on sailboats (big downwind sails) along with Kitesurfing kites for a short period. I've seen some of the spinnaker's lose their...
@fatrascal, I've attached two photos, taken with the same camera same digiscoping setup, same mountain, a year apart. The top photo with the single sheep was last year with an ATX/65, sunny day, lots of light, roughly 500 yards @ 25x zoom. The 2nd photo is the ATX/95, dark day w/low clouds...
It depends on what you're using it for. If backpacking with the scope, then the 95 is the easy answer. The 115 extends the useable range to a point that I dont find useful and it is crazy heavy and awkward. I'd also have to upgrade my tripod and head. The ATX/95 fits in my pack with enough room...
Another option in the future is to re-barrel the 270win to 300wm. Change the bolt head, add a pre-fit barrel and you have your new rifle at a lower investment then a new rifle. You'd have to confirm the length of the action wouldn't hamper you too much, but it should be pretty straightforward...
I have the 95 and 65. I've used both on ounce counting sheep hunts and I'll be taking the 95 with me from now on. The 65 will be kept in the pack for those time where a spotter is not a necessity and it becomes harder to justify the 95. The 95 is brighter through out the day, not just...
Keep the 308. Sell the 270. Find a used scope that has a decent reputation and use it. Learn your system and then decide what you want. If you do add a 300wm, IMO the 308 is the better compliment.
I d be hesitant on a fixed 6x. If you said all your shots were 100-400 yards, then fine. But...
Kuiu will occasionally pull items off their website when they are either completely out of stock, or the item is being updated. I'd have a hard time believing the Guide Jacket was permanently removed.
Everybody is guilty of dumb f^ckery. It sounds like the situation has been ugly for a long time. But that wasn't self defense.
Unfortunately if the shooter pleads self defense, that'll be used by the left to futher inflame their anti-everything rhetoric.
I feel bad for the kids. That's...
I've been taking MCT oils on my hunts for a few years now. I stopped drinking coffee a few years ago, so now I mix it into my porridge in the AM. I love the boost of energy I get from it, very similar to a caffeine boost, without the crash.
I have an extremely hard time finding boots, so when I find a pair I'll often wait until that modeal goes on sale and then add another pair to the rotation. I do fit them and confirm they are the same, I've had 2 of the exact same make model not fit the same.
I dont think there would be a...
Sea to Summit Aeros Down Pillow. Tried half a dozen others in the last couple of years and was never 100% happy, but tried the Aeros this summer it's my current favourite by a long way. A plus is that its also one of the lightest that I've tried.
If it's just for sleeping, then 2 ultralight bug Bivy's would likely be the lightest. I use and like my Borah Gear hybrid bivy in DCF, roughly 10oz for two bivy's (you have to contact Borah about making this bivy, it's not on their site). But MLD, Enlightened Equipment along with others also...
I am primarily floorless but I also have a freestanding floored tent for certain mountain hunts. With a nest any floorless tent is virtually the same as a floorless, so you can have options if you choose. But there are times where a freestanding tent is king.
I did have a stove 5-6 years ago...
