    What Happened to Sitka?

    I use a mix of sitka and kuiu. I agree that at times I lean towards kuiu, but I wish their pants fit me better. Attack pants fit me great than same size in kutana fits me like skinny jeans. I go up in size than the waist is baggy.

    This is why we live in a great time for options. We have options for everyone. The ambient is definitely not niche. After using it a couple times I do not even use my fleeces anymore. The ambient is better in everyway. I guess it loses in cost category unless you get it on sale.

    Recommend pants with knees pads

    Sitka Intercept pant. large hip vents to dump heat and the nylon/poly/merino wool blend breathes extremely well. Very adaptable pant from early season to mid season.

    At the time of this thread the Sitka Intercept pant was not out. The Sitka intercept is the western pant that I would be using if I was bow hunting in a whitetail stand. They are extremely durable as well.

    Grid fleece comparison

    Really was hoping to see Stone Glacier Helio in the mix for comparison. It is grid fleece closer to sitka mid weight but with hood. It breaths very well. Also fits very well. However if its really cold out i'm running in my sitka ambient hoody. Cool to mild I'm running in a SG helio.
