Thanks, I updated the title. Had a brain fart there, was reading another post about spotting scopes right before I made this post
99% of the property I’ll hunt are corn or bean fields. I don’t think the 35 has been restricting enough to go anything under 2x for a scanner or scope, although I...
I’ve got 10 night trips on my Hogster 35, and I think I definitely need a spotter. My neck is getting more and more sore scanning with the gun and tripod.
Trying to come up with possible options, but not entirely sure what I want. My original thought was to go with another Hogster, use one as a...
6-9 notched version. Mounted once on a rifle and never taken out of the safe. Also have a shorty lock lever to go with it. I don’t remember the brand but it was a USA made. $100 TYD PP/Venmo
Mountain bike
Coyote hunting gear
Shotgun for clay shooting
Everything else gets sold as I realize I don’t use it. I had a bad habit of buying the latest trend stuff to hang out with different buddies. Motorcycles used to be a huge hobby, then atvs, dirt bikes, pit bikes, back to...
Good deal. I think they’ll be very happy with the experience. The Windsor hotel is definitely the nicest in Americus. We stayed in a rental house on VRBO which is about a 45 minute drive, but the price is right.

Can’t recommend Max enough if the price is right for her. He was with a different outfit earlier in the year and branched out on his own. I have another trip booked in October.
Edited to add in, he’s no frills no hidden fees. The price is what you pay for the...
Looking at MFK’s website, I see they carry they’re have the conquer the call predator pack packaged with a few of their diaphragm calls. Does anyone have any experience with this, or any of the conquer the call series in general? I know I could probably find enough YouTube videos to cover the...
That’s how it is in my local right now, and it’s dicking the newer guys. In the 90’s they had quite a few years where the multiplier on the pension was 2x on ot and double time. This year they raised the retirement age to 59 from 55 and the multiplier is like .85.
My induction night, I filled a paper out at our hall and one of the questions was political affiliation. I put republican and the BA read that and told me I was going to vote myself out of a job. There’s some things about the union I like, but that’s one I hate
I’m in Ohio. I was generalizing the Bay Area and California as having a higher cost of living than most places, I didn’t clarify very well in my first post
Food for thought here, the cost of living is substantially less in most places than the Bay Area. I just took a maintenance gig, but our IBEW scale is $32 an hour + benefits. Our house is an average starter house, in a decent neighborhood for $138,000. I’m sure you couldn’t buy a rental spot...
I got my new shockwave and want to add a couple sound packs. There seems to be a million options, any good recommendations? I know Tony Tebbe seems to be popular but not sure which pack or who else is good. Thanks
Found an decent deal on a slightly used one, should be here Saturday. A local guy just posted one today for the same price with like 900 sounds on it. Oh well lol
I went with the bog because it was $175 for the carbon and was basically a ready to shoot package. In retrospect I should have went a little nicer, but the spots I hunted this weekend weren’t flat at all. The pig has good reviews, I never did see what the differences between that and then $100...
