    SD pheasant hunt

Hey everyone, I sold a job in Rapid City SD and will likely fly out there sometime in late October. Non-resident pheasant season opens up Oct. 17th and I'd love to hunt pheasant in SD. I've only hunted pheasant a few days last year so I'm a rookie. But I'd be out there without a dog. I'd scout...

Euro mount on a DIY pedestal

I may try that because it didn’t whiten as much using the cream. Normally I add volume 40 liquid into the water and boil. But because I need so much of it to get the 4 to 1 ratio due to the size of the pot I used for an elk I tried it with the cream.

Euro mount on a DIY pedestal

Found this spike elk dead head about a month ago, boiled it and cleaned it off and whitened it thanks to @BRTreedogs He sent me some Clairol basic white, free, that I could mix with some volume 40. Out of boredom I decided to make a little table pedestal out of scrap wood in the garage. I...

It’s likely some other members are entered. But I’m trying to win a pair of binoculars for my cousin who’s a poor college student. It’s a shed contest from Instagram. If you could click the link and vote for my picture I’d appreciate it. Thanks guys...

Boise area - Clairol basic white help!?

Anyone in the Boise area have a bottle of Clairol basic white? If so could I buy a scoop off you? Trying to clean a dead head I found and one for my neighbor and the liquid added to water didn’t work because I have to use so much water to cover the elk heads. So I bought the volume 40 cream and...

    what's your beef with turkey?

Lol that’s funny because I told my wife if I did get permission I’d actually not want to hunt myself, but ask about my daughter who is 12 and my son who is 8 😀

    what's your beef with turkey?

I’d be glad to take 5 off your property. It’s my first year ever hunting turkey and it’s been a blast I’m hunting central ID. I’ve gotten in close to the birds both times but no shot opportunities. These birds get a lot of hunting pressure and the times I thought I’d get a shot another hunter or...

    Your Most "Textbook" Harvest

My father in law's first big game animal was a text book stalk. It was our last day to hunt in WY and that morning I had shot a buck. So we processed my buck and got back out to hunt the 2nd half of the day for him. We start driving the two tracks and when we'd come to a rise we'd get out and...

    Mtn. Goat

No experience here to help you but maybe some out of the box advice. Decide which taxidermist you intend to use and go talk to them and ask for advice. They may like things a specific way and this way you bring them an animal exactly how they want it. Good luck man!

    Grinder recommendations?

Out of the box idea as a potential cheaper way to start and see how you like grinding. If your wife has a kitchen aid mixer they sell a grinding attachment for like $40. Super easy, but you have to already have the kitchen aid mixer.
