Ive taken my wifes 98 subaru forester a couple times. it does great. rides way better on rough roads, good MPG and is better off road than my chevy pickup
if your hunting deer under 350 yards with a 243, just pick a box of bullets off the shelf, check to make sure its not a super light varmint or target bullet and go shoot a deer.
that said, ive watched 55gr vmax absolutely destroy a mule deer at 250yds or so.
dont overthink it, just pick...
I would think a 400 spine arrow would get you close. especially with your shorter draw and intended lighter point weight. just make sure your finished arrow weight is heavy enough it does not damage the bow. 8gr per pound of bow weight would be a good start.
I would check out the static V and Insulated static v from Klymit. they have wide versions also. wont break the bank and have been solid for last 3 or so years for myself and the ol' lady
I maxed out at 2820 in a tikka 270 using h4831sc and 150gr partitions. ablr and eld-x are much longer and would intrude on case capacity more than a partition. are you hitting pressure before running out of case capacity? if so, try a faster burn powder like r16, Hybrid100V or a 4350
In my limited experience loading these, they built pressure way earlier than an equal weight accubond. they ended up shooting ok, just a word of caution.
