I’m a big fan of the Teton by Reliable tent. They are made in Billings MT. I have extensive use on the 10x10 which is perfect for 2 guys and a stove. Would recommend the 12x12 if your gonna have 3 guys
Solo set up takes me about 10min.
Isn’t the price different between blued and SS 170? Not that it matters… more or less the same.
I take super mediocre care of my stuff, it’s all blued, and I’ve never had an issue. Maybe I’m lucky.
Anyhow, I would be interested either way. More so with the cheapest option
It’s cheaper to get a blued tikka and have UM do a single color Cerakote than it is to go stainless… just sayin.
I’m a cheap ass and would go for blued anyways.
I had much better results with both 124gr hammer hunters and 133gr sledgehammers using h4350. Ran out of case capacity with 4831sc before building any speed due to the long Bullets.
Running 145eld-x now with FULL case of 4831sc and good results.
This is from a 16in tikka 270
I won’t be going back to a larger tent unless circumstances change. I can set up/tear down in 10min no problem. And it’s so compact and easy to haul. I can get my tent, stove and a big cooler and gear in a subi outback if needed.
I would think it would work. Not a lot of extra room for activities/ cooking table or anything like that thought.
Having never used a stove like, It looks like it’s big enough to heat a tent that size. Probably not going to cook you out if it’s real cold though
Mine is a Teton 10x10 with the shorter walls. I think they are 30in or so. Perfect for 2 guys and a stove. Knico packer or Alaskan stove is money in there
My Trackers are headed back for a refund. Got about 1 month of very moderate use out of them. I’m still not able to do arduous stuff in barefoot shoes, so nothing crazy. Now, these were rebuilt shoots from Revivo, so not sure if the experience would be the same with a brand new pair?
No hate...
Can confirm, if a pair of caulked pac boots fall out of the your pickup and land on your foot, it will puncture the leather and poke a hole in your toe… not that it has anything to do with field use… but a data point non the less 😂
For 600 yards I would rather it was a fixed 6x, 2-10 or 3-9 if it would keep the cost down. Something in the $500-$700 is much more in my budget personally. But I’m sure the 1k price point would sell just fine for ya.
Just a couple data points for folks thinking about shortening barrels for suppressor use.
Tikka in 270win cut from 22 to 16 lost 200fps with a 124 hammer hand load. New load with 145eldx ended at 2780fps using 4831 SC and shoots very well.
Old 10twist 243win vanguard cut from 24 to 16. Lost...
Was that exit picture from the first shot? I would have expected an 88 impacting over 3k would have been a pure blood bath. Certainly would not think bedding down could close up the kind of wound I would expect. How are you feeling about the 88 now?
have you had any issues with your foot sliding around not having any lacing ability forward of the midfoot? Seems like a few hundred yards of side hill and the leather would be all stretched out from your forefoot sliding into the downhill side.
At this point, I’m probably between the Altra mids or the Vivo trackers. I’ve had altra running shoes in the past and appreciated the wider toe box. Might go for a pair of trackers of revivo to try. Those euro boots with the crazy name look very nice, but pretty spendy at this point in my...
