For a quad I'd go with Honda, but had a grizzly with tons of hours and it just kept running. If buying a new UTV you can roll the dice with any of them, they all have their good and bad stories.
Used market is a crap shoot for these as it's hard to know the history of abuse and maintenance...
The Graco series is good enough for a lot of pro painters. Focus on the ones that work with 5 gallon buckets of paint, and the sprayer is good enough to do most things. Need to maintain it and clean it. The X5 is the smallest I'd suggest. There are others that are good too.
Another post for Sherwin Williams Emerald. We used that on our MI house ~10 years ago and it still looks better than other houses that were painted with the cheap stuff a year ago. Tried the SW Rain Refresh paint on another house and it's also great, but it can be fiddly since normal masking...
They are a great gun. The only time I've had a problem with cycling is from light loads and a loose hold on the gun. Like @Dave C. said above. "Limp-wrist" it and you may run into that.
Welcome to Rokslide!
For those planning to cool down their fish or game fast, or some cases it's better to freeze meat in a cooler for a hunting or fishing trip, look into dry ice. Works wonders to take two coolers, one for "refrigerated" stuff with just ice and the second with more ice and...
Main thing down here in AZ is temperatures and spoilage. There are some tough hikes and climbs and hell holes in AZ but if you can make an ethical shot and get it out quickly, go for it and deal with the consequences and pain. Multiple trips packing out over a day or more is unlikely to be an...
Looks like an awesome trip! Thanks for sharing the great write up as well.
Next time you come down check out the Chiricahua Mountains. It's one of the most remote areas in the lower 48 and beautiful too. Arizona has a bunch of great areas to hike.
I went with a 16 foot v nose 8.5 ft wide enclosed trailer which mainly carries a four door RZR. With bigger wheels and tires the width is necessary, also getting around the car to get inside to load/unload it from the trailer is needed. Or you can plan to take the door off before you load it...
ATV's seem to grow into UTV's at some point, and they all seem to keep getting longer, so get a couple of extra feet longer than you think you need. Especially since you are thinking to need space for a second one already. Also my vote is box trailer for a touch more security from prying eyes.
I have been wearing Merril Moabs for many years. They were my favorite but something has changed in the last few years and they just aren't holding up like they used to. If this current pair falls apart like the last two, I'm in the market for another brand.
