As one who has several alpha glass optics, I have been very impressed with the RS.5 that I have on a .300 WinMag. I have only used it for 2 years but those 2 were very busy years. I've been impressed enough that I just acquired another one.
My first recommendation for a knife would be sharp and holds an edge.
I have many knives, (definitely addicted to sharp things) and having dropped my pack while guiding, thinking we were about to take an elk and ending up a mile from my pack with a dead elk and it being dark, I gutted it with a...
As I tell my customers, "I love what I do for a living BUT ..... I'm in it for the money!"
I quit working for large contractors many years ago and fortunately have more work than I can do so I never work again for anyone that has left me hanging for more than 45 days. Most of my contract's...

As much as I love hunting Idaho, I'm beginning to think that this has got to stop. Get all excited to receive a successful draw card in the mail only to try and buy the license and find out that you were unsuccessful?!?!?

Once again, I was fortunate to be able to "donate" to the Idaho F&G. 0 for 3.
My luck can best be described as this......
"If there were 4 prizes and 3 tickets..... I still wouldn't win!"
Welcome to my world. Western states hunting has become a premium win when you draw. Look to midwest or southern states for whitetail for over the counter or at least a better chance to draw and keep on supporting the F&G agencies and who knows when lightning will strike.
