    22 Creedmoor for Scimitar Oryx?

With regards to Africa, which you responded to, you have no idea what you're talking about, and that's not trolling, that's fact. Ignorant people think they know everything.

    22 Creedmoor for Scimitar Oryx?

Thank, I knew there was some minimum by law. Evidently some people believe you can make your own rules when you go hunt over there. Since PH's see several hundred animals killed every year, and literally a few thousand animals killed through the years, they've likely got a much better idea of...

    22 Creedmoor for Scimitar Oryx?

A landowner or PH can use whatever they want, and a paying hunter cannot so you can guess again. I guess part of those "thousands plural" of game you've killed personally have come from Africa now all of the sudden?

    22 Creedmoor for Scimitar Oryx?

Just curious. I've never shot one in the hill country. I've had the good fortune to cull about 100 of them over the past 30 years in the Trans Pecos though. Badass creature for sure.

    22 Creedmoor for Scimitar Oryx?

I asked if that's because they "explode"? You'd be laughed out of Africa if you showed up with a .224 BTW. As a matter of fact you wouldn't be hunting 99% of plains game with it either.

    You're not kidding about that.

You're saying they're different somehow? sturner, nice ram!

    22 Creedmoor for Scimitar Oryx?

I've killed 10 gemsbok in Namibia. I find that hard to believe after using 7mm 160 AB's and partitions unless you're calling exploding bullets "comparatively better".

What caused the Rokslide shift to smallest caliber and cartridges?

Covid was the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on the American people, and Steve Hornady was part of that, and I have zero respect for people like that. BTW, I don't think I've ever brought it up outside of Hornady. With regards to the melting tip fiasco, there was never a bad review, whether by...

What caused the Rokslide shift to smallest caliber and cartridges?

The Hornady Amax drew rave reviews from everyone who seriously used them for shooting and/or hunting. Everyone loved the performance. Along came Steve Hornady, who also mandated every employee get the farce of a Covid jab, who proclaimed after further testing the Amax bullet tips actually...

What caused the Rokslide shift to smallest caliber and cartridges?

The hornady guys would be one of the last places I'd go for good info (remember the melting tip fiasco?) IME, after hundreds of big game animals killed, "double lunging' and animal is a sure way to have them run off a ways, and high shoulder shots (outside of head shots) give you the best...

New Hunter, Looking for Scope recommendations below $500

That Optika should be great for shots out to 300 as you specified. Good luck, and have some fun with that CTR. Mine is the 20" version, suppressed, and it's a great shooter/killer.

How did the 6.5 Creedmoor lose steam so quickly?

Cool! That's gonna be a REAL shooter.

What caused the Rokslide shift to smallest caliber and cartridges?

My response was in direct response to your quote above, not all that other crap you posted last.

Velociradar vs. Labradar LX vs. Garmin Xero

I used my Magnetospeed and Xero at the same time for about 200 rounds over the course of a month. They always read within 5fps of each other. Numerous tests have been run agains the Labradar as well with the same results.

What caused the Rokslide shift to smallest caliber and cartridges?

Better question would be what are people not gullible about. With regards to your post about how "proud" people are about how little they shoot (whatever that means), the vast majority of people do not associate their identity with how much they shoot a firearm. Priorities matter.

Best Bang for Buck Binocs <$200

See if you can find an Athlon Midas. You should be able to get close to $200 if you look around.

What's equally interesting is how gullible some people can be.

Guns as a Tool, Companion, or Both?

It may have sentimental value to me if it was passed down from dad, family, etc. Other than that they are nothing more than tools to get a job done. I don't buy them to stare at them, oogle over how pretty they are, etc. I've been down that road with a safe full of Sako's and a couple of...

    Leupold BX-4 HD Ranging Binos

I had two Leupy RF's do the same thing, lcd readout went bad on both. The RF/bino is a different animal though, as Meopta makes it for Leupold so it will be head and shoulders better than anything leupy tries to do with electronics.
