I got this 9 point on Thursday evening. I was sitting in the Shanty overlooking the winter wheat field. Earlier in the afternoon, I heard a group of deer running in the woods above the field. I saw some small bucks and 4 doe walking down towards the field edge. They bedded in a grove of cedars...
Congrats to all that got lucky. Hunting In-laws farm in Juniata county. Too much corn still standing. Deer seem to be staying put until dark.

For years, I wore 13B boots but as I aged and completed a good bit of backpacking with Scouts my feet got a little longer and wider. My 14B boots are a little snug but if I buy D width, those need thicker insoles to take up slop. Lately, I have worn Salomon Quest 4d and Salewa Alp Trainers. Both...
I work for the PGC and I can tell you that we hate when people dump the carcasses along the edge of our gamelands parking lots. The worst is the guys that leave it in bags and dump it. Just bag it and put it in the trash.

I wish more companies would include the width dimensions in their sizing charts. Just reading the previous comments has me confused. Some say they run wide, others say they are narrow. I have been searching for something to replace my Danner pronghorn. I did the goHunt foot measuring. My feet...
As a PA muzzleloader hunter for 37 years, I wish we would move flintlock season to fall and allow 3 days for buck during the fall hunt. And then have an any muzzleloader season after Christmas.

I change my baselayer top and socks as soon as I get in my stand. My lower body and feet get cold well before my upper body so I started using an old sleeping bag that I cut to just above my waist while seated. I take my boots off and put on a pair of heavy socks and climb into the bag. A piece...
I had a pair of Salewa boots sent to Dave Page in Seattle to repair a broken eyelet. It was covered by warranty. I could hardly see where the stitches were opened. Salomon has a good customer service. Send them an email with photos.

I use Nosler etips in my 7mm Rem mag. Hornady GMX in my 30-06 and 338 win mag. Either have worked fine for whitetail or elk. As others have said lighter and faster ensure better expansion. 140 or 150 grain are what I use in my 7mm.

My Savage started as a 338 win mag. I bought it for an elk hunt. But I swapped it to 7 mm Rem mag for deer. If I ever go for moose or big bears, I will swap it back to 338. Not enough difference between 6.5 - 7 - 30.
