This is going to have some major repercussions. I am surprised the outfitters haven’t said anything. This is going to affect their operations. Sad day.
I agree. He is a great guy. I met him last year at Big Sky Tac. I used the system all season with the big lightweight nalgenes. I like the nalgenes way better than a bladder. It is great to know that they have this system for the smart water bottles. There are times when I have those for a day hunt.
I am going to be doing the same. 5 days elk and 5 days deer. Combo of backcountry and base camp. I like to make foods I really enjoy so that I can eat them. Some days I just don’t want to eat. Following.
Thanks for posting. I am not sure about the CoolBot. There was another brand named on here that was cheaper but guys said just as good. Ranco or something. I am toying with the idea of making the walls out of foam and one wall out of plywood. So three walls just foam and one wall out of plywood...
Guy in my office went on his stone hunt fall of 2022. Had a heck of a time, saw some rams but never got to even put one in his scope. I think he said he did like 200 foot miles. His guide went above and beyond. I can't remember who he used otherwise I would post it so everyone new a good one. I...
I have been wanting to put a walk in cooler in our house but we just don’t have the room for a permanent one. Has anyone ever done a temporary one that could be taken down? This would go in a garage.
I am big on the calories to ensure an adequate hunting experience. I usually do a bacon almond butter bagel, apple sauce, some dried fruit and jerkey. If it’s a day trip, I like cheese too.
That’s definitely worth checking out! I pulled it up on the website. Looks really good for late season hunts or early season wet ones. I wonder how long it would dry boots without a heat source. Thanks Robby.
All those areas have changed considerably, even in the last 2 years. That fire burned hot and killed the earth. That was fire that you can still smell the smoke and swear the fire is still burning today. Not trying to be a debbie downer, but that area will be different. Also, with the increase...
I would do it all over. I am currently trying to figure that out though. After college I went to the oil and gas industry chasing money. Sadly I realized that those jobs that require a college degree and are not out in the field are not where the money is. Almost a decade later, I have switched...
It’s very interesting. Here is an article that may help. I may have misunderstood it but that’s how I interpreted it. It’s public but not public. I don’t believe anyone would stop you though. But, we are in a land law lawsuit era so who knows...
Hardside just released their new lighter weight version their system for normal smart water bottles, Fuji, etc. I was driving the other day and had a smart bottle and actually thought about this. I can’t wait to try it out here soon for bear!
Posted from their Facebook.
Not exactly true. We are in a waiting period until the management plan is agree upon by the state as part of the lawsuit the state vs blm. I plan to poke around to see if anyone knows anything. I work with lawyers that are hunters.
I use bins. for just my hunting stuff I have bins for backpacks, camping gear, calls/decoys, first aide/kill kit/ knives, archery. I keep my clothing in the house and my sleeping bag. Everything else is organized in bins on shelves in the garage. I tried the duffle bag thing for a while (10 or...
If budget is of no concern, buy new and get what you want. If your only going to buy one, the top 3 pack companies really produce a pack that can be compressed into something that is so small you don't know its there. I typically run a 1700-3200 cu. in. daypack. Right now I use a Stone Glacier...
Congrats! Dang nice bull. I don’t have anything like that but I have a few trophy’s. Leave the score alone and never worry about it. A memory is worth more than a point.
