That velocity with that bullet makes a good argument to spin up a slower twist barrel and use that as a dedicated coyote gun. I might rethink building a second 22 creed.
Hopefully coyotes, if the bullet does well. It’s my wife’s new gun so hoping to get her out on a few stands this weekend. We’ve just killed some paper so far.

I have a 20in Preferred Barrel shooting a 62 eldvt at 3410 fps. That’s with 39 grains of Varget, alpha LRP, and a fed 210.
Might need to jump over to N555 with that kind of speed though.
Nearly new Hornady kestrel. Has the 4dof software and functions great. I’ve used it a handful of times shooting steel but I don't use it as much as I thought I would. Comes with the box too.

Just got done shooting the remaining new Alpha brass I had. I have a total of 120 rounds down the barrel and 1 cleaning on it after 70 rounds.

So after you burn the barrel out, do you have to apply for another tax stamp to put another one on or is that stamp basically for the titanium shroud that covers the barrel?
Looking into this now. I’ve noticed more consistency in extreme spreads and SDs with my 1x hornady brass compared to my new and 1x fired Alpha brass. Slower velocity but definitely more consistent and slightly better groups.
