I would take a grain of salt with what you read on forums. I have never had a problem with either of my VX5 scopes. They have always held zero and tracked well. I did a lot of long range shooting at different distances before my Colorado mule deer hunt last year and zero issues. Traveled to...
I have 2 Leupold VX5 HDs. One a 2-10 and a 3x15. One on a pre 64 300 HH. But that one now sits in a McMillan stock. If I was scoping a wood stocked super grade it would have a nice Matt 3-10 VX III or Zeiss conquest 3-10 with covered caps.
After looking thru a bunch of mini spotters I have come to the conclusion that a good 65 size is still the best compromise. They aren’t overly big or heavy and offer benefits in light gathering and FOV.
IT was my understanding that Meopta made the Zeiss Conquest line. At least that is the case in there scopes.
As far as the Swaro if buying used is there a year of manufacture I should look for or better yet a year of manufacture I should stay away from. I was in the process of buying a new...
I guess its because I don’t k now what I want. But I do know what I don’t want and that is a spotter made in China. Might have to just suck it up and spend the $$$ for a quality piece
As much as I like my Leupold scopes I am not a fan of there spotters especially there foreign produced product. Leupold recently sent me there 15-30X 50 GR as a replacement for my old straight 25 GR spotter that they would not repair. I was not impressed and sold it.
Good info on the Meopta...
I am looking for a spotter for range work and a once a year western hunt that I usually do. With so little use I do not want to have a $2000+ pice sitting in the safe. My thought is to look for a good quality older spotter than will serve my purposes without a large investment. First it has...
I have a lightly used Barrett REC7 in .556. Gun may have 4 boxes of shells thru it. Used it once a year for my annual pig hunt. Easily shoots MOA with quality ammo. Sold for $2100. $1400 TYD of your FFL. Would consider a trade for quality 15X bino’s.
For sale is a Leupold SX-2 20-60x80 Alpine spotting scope. It’s NIB. Nice spotter for the price just bigger than what my buddy wanted to lug around. $300 TYD
