As promised, 145TGK’s at 3050fps out of a new Wby RPM. Barrel only has 50rds on it so I won’t start load development until it stabilizes, but this tells me the 145’s should shoot. 3 shots at 106yds…
A 162 Eldx through the lungs at 440yds via 280ai ruined this bears day. I’ve killed more animals including elk with the 175 out of a 28N. Both are fine big game bullets if placed properly.
Anybody have any hands-on experience with the 145’s yet? Finally found some in stock so they are on the way. Will be trying them in 260AI, 6.5PRC and 6.5RPM
SAC Modular sizing die will work, but the most economical fix for clickers I have found is an Eric Cortina mandrel die. The die sizes the web area even more more than my SAC. And to be clear I think it is nearly impossible to fix clickers on brass that has already started clicking, I would...
Lapua, ADG or Peterson. LR primers should be fine in warmer weather, but I would test in colder conditions to avoid hang fires. If you happen to be using a ball powder I would stay clear of LR’s.
