I was just having a discussion yesterday with a buddy about this. I think most driven people (myself included) have very critical/negative self talk. “Growth mindset” or whatever you want to call it, has a major pitfall in this area. In order in improve and excel at anything, you have to see and...
Make a bleach solution, soak for a few hours. That’ll kill any bacteria. Anything else is cosmetic and I don’t worry about it. I’ve got TAG, Argali, and Black Ovis. All have some staining. I hand rinse them first, then machine wash them on cold. Then bleach.

Be patient with the “second class citizen” situation. Once my daughters both hit about 6 months, it flipped. They still want mom for comfort, but dad becomes the “fun one”. My wife says they’ll be crabby or having a bad day and driving her nuts for hours, and when I walk in the door they’re...

Tell your wife she’s a good mom a LOT. And keep telling her that, ESPECIALLY when things aren’t going well. Sounds easy, but it gets hard sometimes when all you want to do is give her suggestions of what to try different. Their whole world gets turned upside down, and there’s a lot of pressure...
I’ve had great luck on elk with Kudupoints. Sevr 1.75s if mechs are your thing. They sure do fly nice, handy to have one or two in the quiver for a long follow up, or for speed goats.

Easton Axis 5mm, Victory Rip TKO, or Black Eagle Rampage. HIT insert and a collar. Hard to beat for overall durability, wind drift characteristics, penetration. Tons of options for different weights of HIT insert. Between those three options there’s a good bit of GPI variability, so you should...
I hear that. The NL 12x42 on a tripod are ridiculous. I switched this spring from 10x42 SLC HDs, and can’t believe how good they are. I’d love to see a side by side in low light/long distance with the 10x52s, trying to judge a buck.

It’s not about the status of WKR. It’s about making sound, logical arguments. There’s a few WKRs that make terrible arguments about different topics all the time on here. New guys can prove themselves pretty quickly.

Ask yourself this: “does this hunting “opportunity” mean more to me than my reputation/future prospects at this company?” Because if you ask, you’re not only going to be told “no” but it’s really not going to look good, especially as an intern. You can likely kiss goodbye to any chance of moving...
Im in the same boat. Any thoughts of switching to the 10x52s? I’ve proved many times that clarity beats magnification. Low light clarity on the 10x with that 52mm objective may outperform the 12x mag…plus greater fov.
