Man that’s so cool. I gotta imagine that’s about as rewarding of a hunting experience as possible. My daughters are 1 and 2 1/2. Already looking forward to this stage

Nice buck!! Those hook cheaters are just so cool. Good lesson in that story. I’ve got a 10 month old at home, and a 2.5 year old who had some major health complications this summer. Killed my scouting time, but it’s a good reminder to hunt the places that have held good deer in the past. Keep...
Awesome! Can’t wait to hear the full story. I always learn the most from hearing detailed stories.
As for jerky - it’s hard to beat the easy button, a Treager. I thin slice across the grain on cuts like the bottom round. I much prefer the texture of whole muscle rather than extruded (jerky...
The jerky looks great! But what’s this about TWO bucks on the way to your freezer?! Did you finally break the slump?!

I was also watching closely. Good police work there. Glad I was wrong…I was about 50/50 on serial killer or some sort of drug deal gone bad. The victim was an upstanding guy by all accounts but you just never know. That’d have been a tough MO to catch if it was a serial killer…
Can’t imagine...
Check weights on the new ARK with a Absoroka, Gnargali, Dall or similar. They’re not any heavier than other packs of the same volume and capability. And for me, they carry the weight better than any. I’ve used StoneGlacier, MR, and Exo. The ARK is by far my favorite under heavy load.

I ended up with the .313 bushing. The .311 they sent measured .0045 less than my loaded brass OD. I was looking for .002 neck tension.

I have zero inside knowledge of who’s making those decisions. Only what he’s said on podcasts repeatedly for the last 10 years or so since I’ve been listening to him.

Fingers crossed. But it wouldn’t surprise me if that changes…sewn/sourced in the US hurts their bottom line the most. Aaron used to talk about it all the time. There’s a lot of money left on the table by choosing to stay here.

just built one on a super lightweight platform with 16.5” barrel. Already thinking about re-barreling to 6 Creed haha

I’ve seen this once. With my sister on a hunt years ago. She shot at a nice buck, hit a branch maybe 20 yards in front of the deer, deflected the bullet into a doe standing 5 yards from the buck. Entrance wound looked similar, only in the high neck/shoulder. Fragment hit her spine and dropped...
I’ve been working with H4350, but wasn’t happy with groups. ES numbers were very good, several loads below 10. But couldn’t get below 1” groups, and had random fliers. Most groups were closer to 1 1/2”. I was getting “crunch” from compression starting at 45.5 grains, which was giving me 2625...
If that’s what happened, his shot placement sucked [emoji23][emoji23] No wonder he had to “kill” an already dead deer. Allegedly. All around weird situation
