The max stealth is definitely all around one of the best vanes on the market. I never have tried Q2i, I hear great things though. Between the max stealth & hunter and blazer never really thought of trying anything else. I have found the higher profile helps at longer distances. But like you...
I agree 100%. I usually do end up just testing it on my own, I just like to get an idea of what others have experienced before I purchase it. If it has a lot of mixed reviews then I usually don't bother with it. Both companies have great products, so I doubt it's something I would regret.
Appreciate the response! Have you shot any through the target? I'm assuming the hole was from a tight grouping. I've had that happen with blazers when shooting too close together. That's what I like the most about Max Stealths or Hunters, is that on a passthrough on an animal or the target they...
Anyone try these out yet, what are your thoughts? Are they quieter than the Max Hunters? How is the durability? I have read that other AAE hybrid vanes are not as durable as the Max versions.
I hope Bill post the results from the test at some point. I'm thinking of trying the DCA Super Sabre...
Definitely a lot options in 100 and I still have some when I first started archery. I moved to 150s because of the ferrules are usually stronger. I had Magnus stinger in 100gr and a ferrule busted after it lodge into the offset shoulder. I just know QAD Exodus is a great head and would be the...
You’re right, probably won’t see much difference. I’m just always looking to improve each year to increase the odds of success, even if it’s not a huge change. I agree and I’m considering bumping up to #65. That would help a ton.
I went down the rabbit hole of speed, but really was curious if...
340s. It sucks, with my setup if I drop to 400s I’ll need to cut them to down to 26 to tune. That short and the collars will touch my launcher on my rest. My friend has the archers advantage and ran the configurations to see how short I need to go if I went that route. Other than changing to RIP...
With my setup the 175 upfront tunes really nice at that 340 spine. That’s why I was wondering if anyone has had experience with Valkyrie or tuffhead 150s. All I would need to change is a lighter gpi arrow. And that’s a good point about if it’s worth it, im not sure haha. The only head I really...
Those look nice too. What size are you using? I’d be interested to know what size and how they fly. I always tune my bow to the broadhead, but I have noticed some heads perform better when I don’t have perfect form. Which is my concern with the Valkyrie and tuffhead, that they may not be forgiving.
How are the durability of those shafts? Getting the GPI that low would definitely get that trajectory flatter. I should’ve noted, im currently using the ironwill titanium insert/collar to get my 150 grain broadheads to a total weight of 175 upfront. It’s a great combo.
Probably get it down into the 450 and hopefully get it up closer to 270fps. 30 grains probably only going to gain 3-4 fps but it should put me closer to 270fps. Just feel getting flatter trajectory with still decent weight, even if its a minimal change will give a little more piece of mind for...
That’s the problem, tons of options haha. I would like to have a mixed quiver with two blade/3 blade so if I dropped down into the 125 I’ll have to get new ironwills. Just curious if anyone has experience with the Valkyrie or tuffhead that way I don’t have to worry about buying a new two blade...
I'm looking to add a good 3 Blade Broadhead to the quiver for better blood trails. My current setup is 61# Mathews Traverse 28.5" draw, TAW-480 grains, Easton Axis 5mm 28", 150 gr ironwill with 15 grain insert and 10 grain collar for 175 upfront. I'm considering a total overhaul of my setup to...
