I'm 5'10", 165. I have no idea what my chest measurement is, but I have a large and consider it a perfect fit. I hate jackets that feel even slightly binding, though, so I didn't even try a medium.
The good thing about going into the draw with adequate points is that there's no stress leading up to results being posted. The only unknown for us is if anyone will draw a cow tag as well.
I actually appreciate this post. I missed the other thread and now know to avoid the seller. Anyone who would list that scope as "like new" is someone I don't even want to consider buying from. Had cooler heads prevailed on both ends, the outcome would have been better, but it doesn't change...
I have a buddy who is a manager at Scheels. I don't pay attention to this stuff so I was amazed when I went to his store recently and the ammo shelves were empty. He said the same handful of guys shows up every day and buy whatever they can before it even makes it to the shelves. Said they...
I used the Alpine (not light) this past hunting season. Can't say enough good about it. I'm considering buying another to keep on hand in case they ever quit making them or raise the price.
I don't know! We grilled up a bunch of the fish we caught and ranked them. The mangrove snapper finished dead last. That's not to say it wasn't delicious, we just found them less delicious than the other fish. Redfish finished second. Of all things, porkfish finished first.
I ate a few upper slot redfish that I caught last week in SW Florida. They were delicious, as were the trout, snapper, and stone crabs I also got into.
I don't know how it compares to the fishing in NW Florida, but the beach fishing I've done in SW Florida is a blast. I can't get enough of...
I've had a 270 WSM for about 15 years now. It has killed a ton of critters. I can't say any of them would have been less dead had I used a .270 Winchester. The WSM will kick more, burn more powder, and cost more to shoot. It will be slightly faster.
270 WSM is more than adequate for moose. Choose a good bullet and take it without a second thought. My dad and I each killed our bulls with a 270 WSM and 140 grain TSXs. Neither bull went more than a couple steps.
