Maven sent an email today and I was hoping it was a re-stock notification for the RS1.2 MIL, but no...instead it was introducing a different MOA reticle. Now they have three reticles, two of which are MOA.
Both MOA scopes are in stock in both colors. No MIL scopes are in stock. That's what you...
Do you happen to have data on the 10 rd group sizes with 168 ELDM vs 168 TMK? What caused you to switch?
Based on what I've seen my .308 with 168 AMAX (1.4" 10 rd group at 100 yd) do on a deer and an elk, I wouldn't hesitate to shoot a bear with them.
@Cameron.25, thanks for sharing your initial impressions! I'm deciding on a can for a 16" Rascal Minimalist for my kids with the goal of keeping weight as low as possible. I had just about settled on the 3.6 oz DD Road Hunter but that Pluto is even lighter at 1.89oz.
I bedded a pic rail to a Savage action with JB Weld. About a year later when I needed to remove it to take the barrel off, I removed the screws and pulled on the bonded pic rail and it came off by hand.
I was hoping to need to use a torch and some effort to remove it. This didn't give me much...
The SG side bags on the Exo looks like a great add on. Are you guys running out of volume in the pack or just looking for better pocket layout/access or something else?
Good to know, I'll go with something else.
Are you planning on shooting much 22LR through your Hyperion? My understanding is that it's a 3D printed Ti can, not user serviceable and not recommended for rimfire which is much dirtier than centerfire.
A Hyperion on a .223 must be really quiet!
How do you like the MKMachining throw lever on your 3-9X? I'm considering adding a throw lever to my SWFA because it's not as quick as I'd like it to be to adjust the magnification due to how low and far forward mine is mounted, but I've read really...
There is a thread about this retailer and suppressor where guys have been posting their experience with them: https://rokslide.com/forums/threads/harvester-evo-for-394-15.341748/
@Matt Cashell wrote up an excellent comparison of most the options on the market: https://www.rokslide.com/best-phone-digiscoping-adapters-for-the-2023-hunting-season/
After reading that I got the ScopeCam Gen 2 adapter and it's been working really well. I've used it on my binos and spotting...
I agree. On other harnesses that have had a way to keep that pocket close I have kept my license and tags there in a ziploc bag.
I may modify this one with some velcro or a few safety pins to make it more secure. I wish it came with a zipper or a snap there.
I have the new Sentinel harness and the only time that velcro comes into play is when adding pouches and setting the size/height of your binos. In another thread someone had the tip to cover any exposed velcro with a strip or panel of velcro just to keep stuff out of it.
I recently upgraded to...
Mice are so annoying. I'm glad EXO is helping get it fixed.
A mouse chewed a hole in one of my tents, it's patched with duct tape now.
A determined critter could still get to a pack in a tree, but you'd probably make them work for it harder than in the vestibule. I mostly keep my pack, boots...
