    Camper shell buildout

Not yet. I actually haven’t seen any emails come across since I placed my order either (except the confirmation email). Although their Instagram story shows some are being delivered 🤷🏼

    Camper shell buildout

I’ve built drawers before. The Pack Rack is appealing to me because of its ease of removal and storage for when you want your full truck bed. Drawers obviously have perks, but right now I’m not looking for drawers personally.

    Unit NM Elk

Well, at least you aren’t hiding what you’re after. You don’t need to e scout this unit. It’s hard to throw a rock and not hit an elk

    That's super helpful. Thank you.

Best price on Harvest Right freeze dryer

How have you guys liked your freeze driers? Do you feel like within the next 2-4 years, you’ll use it enough to justify the up front cost?

I did my own “death hike”…solo

I once helped some friends that killed elk back to back days. The second elk was 7 miles from the truck. We started packing out around 7pm IIRC and got back to camp around midnight. I had to work the next day so, I only helped with the first load. Made it home in time to shower and head straight...

I did my own “death hike”…solo

I started with a 30lbs pack. That included: - Exo K3 4800 - ~6.5L of water (I’m in the desert where water is not plentiful) - snacks + 2 freeze dried meals - small stove, titanium cup, and an almost empty fuel canister - first aid kit, TP, etc - seek outside DCF floorless shelter - thermarest...

Your wife is definitely a trooper doing that while pregnant. Sounds like you two enjoyed yourselves.

100% agree. Long walks don’t equate to physical capacity, but definitely help the mental strengthening.

I did my own “death hike”…solo

I’m sure it’s a blessing and a curse to be with others on an adventure like this. For me, miles 9-16 were pretty bad. I took some advil and that helped a bunch until the sun went down and I was operating under head lamp. At that level of fatigue I started tripping at a way higher rate (I was...

My 2024 Death Hike Recap For a couple of years now I’ve listened to the Exo guys talk about their death hikes. I’ve tried to convince friends and coworkers to complete one with me, but nobody was interested in self punishment or could justify taking their precious time off of work to do...

Recommendation for New Mexico Bear (and Mountain Lion)

I don’t personally know anything about hunting either species or guides for that matter, but you are correct as far as OTC bear and mountain lions. Cats can be hunted year round unless the quota is met. There are a few draw hunts for bears but most of the state is OTC with archery hunts...

They’ve also talked about a light version which is based off of a hollow design if I recall correctly. If I’m not mistaken they mentioned a folding options but it does seem unproductive to use that on a hollow design. At best that would offset the weight savings and at worst it would slow down...

Does anyone have a 34mm main tube LPVO in the UM Tikka rings? I’m strongly considering the Credo 1-10 for my 223 and was wondering what height rings would yield better results?

    RokStok

I was wondering since I ordered rings and bubble level on the same order as my stock if that was maybe a hold up since both ring and level sku that I ordered were out of stock recently. FWIW, I ordered a tikka inlet with arca/pic and one solid color on 12/21. Maybe it’s just my optimism talking...

It was meant to be helpful. Ask yourself what in a carbon barrel are you most after? If it’s weight savings, then you are spending a disproportionate amount of money to achieve the 1-3 ounces that you will save on a 20-22” barrel. What he is trying to communicate is that you can buy a very nice...

    Valle Vidal NM Turkey

I would highly recommend taking chains and plenty of gas/ other essential supplies. The camp grounds are a good ways off of a paved road no matter which way you go in. If I remember right, it’s something like 20-30 miles of gravel road. Not sure how much snow they’ve had in there this year and...
