One nice mid November day, I was siting under a cedar tree waiting for does to start moving to fill the freezer. I was sitting essentially on a game trail and a covey of quail came along, almost like a pack of rubber bouncy balls (hard to explain their hopping motion but this is what they...
Pffft. Anymore, some of the carry-ons people bring on are huge, and they'll have two of them. This is the primary reason I hate flying in general. I've had to stick my regulation carry on under the seat so another passenger could squeeze two larger bags in the overhead.
Worst they could tell...
Youth Remington 870 with a shortened LOP Hogue stock. Got it for field trials/hunt test stuff for the kiddo. She used it on several pheasant, doves, and a ton of duck hunts and its been in the water a bunch, killed her first turkey with it. Its length is so handy, I use it for coyotes up...
mine is setup in our basement “pantry” where we store bulk stuff, canned goods, and deep freezers. Not much but it works for me. Gear is stored in the back in totes, processing equipment on shelves, misc gear on the shelf next to the bench.
I don't believe there is one TBH. Read the regs or call NE G&P, you "might" be able to shoot on state land in a few areas but I'm not sure. I've lived in NE Nebraska my whole life and never have, mostly just on private ground with access/permission. Going to a club might be your best bet.
We do some pretty late fall (like November) cleanup type hunts for pheasants in SD at various lodges. Some birds hang up in the thick cattails. Most years its fine, but last year our lab got cut up pretty bad in them, including a couple deep scratched corneas. He's all drive and went all day...
Final update. Super smooth and fast process.
Following the above
11 April: email received from CA indicating CLEO had accepted notification and indicating shipping date of 17 April
16 April: email received indicating order shipped. This is really a "label created email", see below.

Update on my prior post, with Capitol Armory related timeline of dates/action. I can and do purchase locally, but Capitol had what I wanted in stock, their prices are generally very competitive, and I wanted to try it to see how it went. This should provide a good idea of their process. So...
Had a Howa 1500 discharge when the safety was taken off, once. Fortunately, the deer was in the scope. Rifle was part of a recall, if I remember correctly, and repaired via LGS. I've shot it several times since then, at the range, and never repeated the issue. Its in the safe still, cant...
We were also directly in the path of the last one (SE Nebraska). Campground reservations were gone well in advance, and some people rented space at their farm/pasture for people to camp at, but only had limited success. We had a party at home and didn't travel, but I don't think is was awful...
Threw my hat into the ring for the fast approval times.
Ordered a suppressor at Capitol Armory today. Not a prior customer, so will have to go through the hoops to get all set up, including home fingerprints. Nobody around me does the electronic kind. Should provide a decent example of the...
We went iphone because its what the family had, daughter was 14. No social media before 17 and any social media is followed/following mom and dad so we see al posts (not messages though) and add life360. We have a screen time rule, but don't have a tracker for it. No phone in her bedroom since...
SE Nebraska location for me, same drought conditions
I'd follow Snowhunter's advice but wait til the fall. Weed pressure should be less, temps should be cooler for less watering, and you don't have to deal with it over summer trying to keep it alive. Get a seed that had one grass that grows...
right around $1400 from the card and then an additional $70 from in store purchases (the paper reward). We use it to stock the pantry/store room - paper goods, flour, rice, soap, etc. always some leftover for a few luxuries. Daughter is off to college in the fall, so probably get her a small...
I like to use corrugated steel (like on a pole shed) over some 1/2 drywall, trimmed out well so I can wash my stuff in the garage in the winter. If i had the funds, Trusscore wall and ceiling panels would be in my garage right now. Maybe with some well placed cabinets for storage.
I was recommended Breakthrough Clean Suppressor Cleaner form a friend. It works great and doesn't smell up the room when used. Its got a filmy residue, so be prepared for that. Both my suppressors (including a 22lr) come apart, so cleaning was easy with this stuff and a mason jar, nylon...
Daughter shows horses, so for me its minimizing the losses.
We feed out a couple of pigs over the summer, letting have the "old" garden space and rotate back to in two years after, basically need three garden spaces since hog manure is pretty hot the following year. Free fertilizer and low...
