How to prevent false triggers on trail cam?

Everyone has mentioned the causes and fixes already. Remember cams function via heat and movement. If the cam is up in an area that can get hot (90+).. it is important to have the cam face North and if on a bare tree put brush or sticks around it so it won’t get the midday and evening sun...

Extra wide sleeping bag… am I crazy?

I second ZenBivy! There is a sweet spot for size and warmth. Go too big and you will get a lot of cold spots. I sometimes use a really wide version for summer/early fall and will use a more properly fitted version for late fall/early winter. Pad r value plays a HUGE roll as well.

    Vehicles, you can fix?

Have a 93 ZJ with a 4.0 and have been on the fence if it should be something I should keep and keep repairing issues or kick it to the curb when it finally goes and not fix existing issues. My biggest fear is when the engine finally goes- will I be able to replace it and/or will I be able to...

Burris Signature HD 10x42 newest improved 2023 updated Japan made $210.49 free shipping

Curious- I have found the different “class” levels of binoculars usually the $300-500 pair (diamondbacks) are the LOW end. The $1000 ish pair (maven type etc) are the mid tier and some come close to the top tier $2000ish binos. With the 15x56 msrp of $1000- sell usually for $800 and now marked...

Importing game meat from New Zealand to Canada

Doesn’t need to be from a butcher- however proof the meat can only be from NZ would be recommended. Butchering or direct flights only and no layover in other countries is an example. Trophy hides, cape, antlers are regulated if you plan to bring any back either in luggage or cargo.

For those using Go Hunt for making draw decisions..

I agree- my point was if GoHunt had another states data listing it was still 2022 - but didn’t for this CO unit- I wonder why they wouldn’t also have a disclaimer saying the data was from 2022 for those of us who may not also go to that states GF website to review the raw data.

For those using Go Hunt for making draw decisions..

tough crowd. Thanks for bringing this information out. It is one of the metrics I like looking at and although like many have said is not 100% accurate, it is a metric that one can use in making tag decisions. I find it odd though because in looking over some units for species in another...

Importing game meat from New Zealand to Canada

Gentleman- - meats coming from (originating) NZ directly into the US are allowed. - meats transiting through US to another country- as long as the products are checked through and no overnight layover are not regulated in the US and allowed to continue on to their final destination. The final...

    Exo K2 or Something New

Ditto to this. K2 was a great pack- if they made it in a 26” version and not the 25” I don’t think I ever would have needed to buy another pack. Run the K4 now

    Vortex Razor LHT? 3-15

In reading all of Forms tests and opinions my major take away is that there can be lemons in good scopes and diamonds in bad scopes- both are just as rare. The tests and results are a “guideline” for scope purchases so that you don’t have to drop the guns and scopes to test for failure- I...

How did you pick your pack?

Take a look at your hunting style as well. Some packs function better for a bush whacking still hunter than others. Some are more ideal for guys with a more curved back Some fit the skinny athletic guys better. You will get Quality and dependability in all the top packs- but fit, style and...
