    All Natural????

I’d say talk to a nutritionist. 14 lbs in 3 months…it seems as though that should come off pretty quickly by just reducing calorie intake. But I’d ask a qualified person who studied this stuff and makes a living doing it, rather than hunting threads on the internet that are based on what would...

    fasted exercise

I would imagine this is the most important part! Just get up and go is the 90%, tinkering on fasted versus non-fasted might have limited impact on the 10%.

    fasted exercise

Just real quick, would you agree with the following assertions? (This is how I understand “fasted cardio”; not interested in another forum debate but I am interested in the topic.) -since the aerobic pathway is the most important pathway for endurance activities, one should develop the aerobic...

    Wind resistance layer

No worries! I picked it up for 50ish on sale and it works for my purposes: active pursuits in dry weather. I have an OR helium that I throw on if it’s wet. Works pretty darn well, but far from perfect. If there’s any chance of rain, I end up either just carrying the Helium or both. So I’m...

    Anyone tried carnivore?

Not to totally derail the thread, but I don’t think Homo sapiens have even been a species for millions of years. I think the species spread across the entire earth and adapted to new environments tens of thousand of years ago. So the point as to nutrition stands but on a very different timeframe…

    WTB Polartec Alpha Jacket

I’m late to the party here, but here is a Primaloft evolve hoodie, in stock, when on sale for $72. I have one, like it for its applications. https://www.eddiebauer.com/p/38832937/Mens-Super-Sevens-Fleece-Pullover-Hoodie?rrec=true&sp=1&size=&color=Storm

    Cramping…

Lots of interesting research on cramping recently: https://www.outsideonline.com/health/training-performance/muscle-cramps-research-2020/#_pay-wall https://www.outsideonline.com/health/running/training-advice/running-101/muscle-cramps-101/

Looking for a simple mobility routine

Something like this has helped for me. I’ve melded elements of both into around 5 minutes before or after a strength workout.

    Getting rid of belly fat.

I’m a runner, and I think this guy has it right. Eat enough but eat clean, train both strength and endurance, trade the curls for squats. It should be a six month goal, make the lifestyle change and it’ll come. Edit to include this, which I found interesting, and supportive of the idea that...

You have one shot, one broadhead….

Standard HIT. My arrow is super simple: Axis 5mm, the "realtree" edition off Camofire, which is a bit heavier than the typical one, in .300 spine, standard nock, 3 blazer vanes, total arrow weight 505 grains. 125 grain Day Six Evo. 70 lb Bear Escape bow. Passthrough at 25 yards broadside...

You have one shot, one broadhead….

Agree. For me, it’s been like one shot and one bh per season. To me, given that, a premium bh is worth it though not necessary. (I did shoot my bull twice last season but that was the exception.)

You have one shot, one broadhead….

No, I just use the broadhead on Axis 5mm. I don’t see a need to make it more complicated or expensive…never had a problem with the setup. As I understand it, they’re slightly more brittle than the Iron Will but won’t rust like the IWs do.

Day six evo. Two pass-through a this year, gonna be hard to get me to change…

    Polartec vs regular fleece

Polartec is a brand/manufacturer. They make many different fabrics, including some fleece fabrics. Power stretch, power grid, alpha, power air, etc. “Normal” Polartec fleece is, I think, just identified by weight. So the particular piece will depend upon which Polartec fabric is used. I don’t...

    Building a forever home. Do's and don'ts

Funny, the house we bought had two dishwashers. I’d never seen that and thought it was ridiculous. Well, it is a bit ridiculous but also really nice; we have Sunday dinners with family, and so we host 12-18 people at least a dozen times a year. Very useful for that!

Where do we draw a line in the sand with prices?

Go for it! Start that company, and if there’s a niche for it it’ll work. If not, it’ll fail. I’d buy an equivalent product for a lower price, for sure!

Eddie Bauer primaloft next/evolve Dork Hoodie

Funny you say that...I've used this with a cycling vest that has a thin, windblocking fabric on the front and mesh in the back. It's a good combination, leaves out the arms though.

Eddie Bauer primaloft next/evolve Dork Hoodie

This is one of the cottage ones I looked at; I was going to get one, even though it's pricey, but as I recall they were out of stock. I think the EB is comparable, if not nearly identical, and it's cheaper and in-stock.

Eddie Bauer primaloft next/evolve Dork Hoodie

Yes, definitely a concern. I think they do make one with an outer, but it's super expensive and in obnoxious colors. Plus, the face fabric would make it not breathable enough for running. (I've tried w/the active hoodie and it's close but not quite.) Hopefully someone makes an ambient-type piece...

Eddie Bauer primaloft next/evolve Dork Hoodie

After wearing, and loving, a Sitka kelvin active hoodie this year (purchased at 50% off…), I took a look around for other Polartec alpha gear. Several cottage brands make dorky looking hoodies that seem popular, but they’re all sold out. I found an Eddie Bauer dork hoodie that appears to be...
